Let me know about him then mate!!!

I had Dagaka too, and Bos - they were quality!
Heunongas was good too!

I can't remember my players.. Even though I played my last ML game in PES4 on 1st August.

Dagaka (Overall 94)
Heinze (92 in all defence stats)
Beretto (Overall 85)
Yamada (overall 90)
C. Lopez (~90 but I never played him)
Fanfan (same as Lopez)
Nyström (Overall 97)

Can't remember the others.

I really hoped they would implement a 'dive' button so you could try and con penalties ect on this new one, all the reviews and pictures ive seen makes this game look quality.

No Dives a la Italia.

I usually play with the screen setting to Wide but I tried yesterday on a close setting... Looks so good it's ridiculous... A really good game!

New feature: You can save your profiles so the game keeps records of wins and loses for you and your mate...

I read a Hands-On preview at ign.com/ps2 today on the new Fifa. I have to say they have a lot of cool new features like team chemistry and stuff like that... The cut scenes were out of this world... But the gameplay still looked like shit... To bad. Fifas poolish (menues, graphics, presentation) on a footie and Konamis in-game-feel... That would be nice... I could even think of throwing in a bit of ESPNs (2kGames) Presentation on the Play-By-Play and their cutscenes from the NFL games... SWEEEEET.

Can you explain more about training your players in the off-season mode.

Not much more to say.

At the end of the season (the off-season) it's possible to change your settigns (difficulty) and play exibition games if you want... I usually play only one or two games and focus on negotiations.

Every day (or week or what it's supposed to be) is a chance to train aswell... They don't give any feedback on this, just like last year, so it's easy to miss it and forget one day or two... I often get caught up in negotiating so I forget all about it! But if you enter the training menu there are the following alternatives (might be one more but not of importance):

1. Auto train players
2. Enter training menu
3. Free training

Free training is free training. Auto train is just that... The COM simulates a training and all your players will raise about 2-4% on everything.

On of the parts of this trainingsystem is the fatigue players get from training. If the COM simulates fatigue sinks.

Enter training menu: You choose which player should do what kind of training. The options are Defence, Headers, Passing, Shooting, Goalkeepeing, Balance, Speed, Dribble, Free Kicks etc. I've figured out that most of these give you player a 5-20% boost in one area like Defence. But in shooting you gain % in acc, power, offence. And in passing all of the 4 passing-stats.
Training this way is more effective but every training will make your players gain ~25 in fatigue. If a player gets his fatiguebar to ~60 and above it becomes red and your in the riskzone for getting a injury. So I usually balance between Manual training and auto... It's good to end with a rest... So when you start playing next season your players are alive.

I've been playing on two stars (to learn the game) and changed to 3 stars and didn't rest... First game was against (off course) Arsenal... Pires was scoring at will... Even my girlfriend was laughing at me. My players were hardly running. At the end of the game everyones staminabar was down to zero... Miracle I didn't get any injuries.

Third season of ML.

Started third season yesterday.

It's hard. Really hard. But keep in mind that I'm playing about half of my games together with a friend who is learning the game so it's harder than playing alone... But we are acctually starting to win.

During the offseason I managed to get rid of Gerrard. Gerrard was a bad seed. He came late to practices, didn't contribute in games and was overpayed, overrated and that's why he now is HATED. He will never set his foot in Bayerns lockerroom. So on the first transfer opportunity he was traded to... somewhere... with Hleb. So now Helb is taking the LMF position and C. Ronaldo can take the right side. Hleb as been running his ass off. Källström made the goal of all times, a shoot from about 50 meters straight in the upper left corner... Zlatan is playmaking, Rooney is a machine, Martins working hard running up and down the field and geting corners and free kicks. Gilardino is scoring about 70% of all shots he gets on goal. Unfortunatly I don't get much shots at goal since I'm being a outplayed some of the games. But theres onle played 6 games of the new season so I should be able to get back... 2 wins, 2 draws, 2 losses.

I'm playing in ML too and I would like to know if you have found any exceptional players with high growth rates.

There is a Scottish goalkeeper aged 20 so he should be 22 in your 3rd season. He reaches level 95 in growth without off-season training.

Need to find a club with predominantly young players..

Cardozo's growth rate reaches 93-94 without off-season training and stays that way until hereaches 30-31. He's a must have too.

There is also an Irish youngster (19 or 18) playing in SMF with qualities equal to Cardozzo.

In defense, Vomme, Sergio Hereira from Spain and Motta from Italy reach 90+ in growth.

and the Scottish 20 year old GK I mentioned before.

Did you manage to check for Cardozo?

I don't know... Is he called Cardarson in the game? I can't rember... Don't think he fit my profile on what I wanted in a player... But I can always buy him later.

I found a irish DMF but his curve was crap. I have Hereira and Van den Bomme. I bought a new defender... 22 years old... He was really good, can't remember his name. And a new goalkeeper that was korean I think. He will be really good. He is 17-19 and already 91 in goalkeeping skill. But players with good curves are

MF Källström (Rennes)
MF Cesc
MF Cassano
FW F. Torres
FW Babel
FW Baumjohann
GK Fredriksson (Develops really late, but shoudn't loose stats until he's 40.

I'll have to edit this when I get home... Can't remember anything at the moment. But Rooney is great! But perhaps you don't lika having those players in your team.

By the way, which season are you in?! Could you post your entire team? It's fun to see what you have. And tell me what level you play at and how it's going!

It's not going very good !

Gk Marken 20yrs Scotland Best growth in ML! This was the easiest choice to make.

CB Kivu 24 Romania
CB Heitinga 20 Holland
CB Vomme 18 Belguim

SB Motta 19 Italy
SB Naigel 20 De Young Holland
SB Dagaka 18 (Kaabi) Iran
SB Matheu 22 Italy (Lefty)

CM 21 Sneider Holland
CM Cesk 18 (Fabregas) Spain

SMF Komra 20 or 21 Lefty
SMF Cardason 19 (Cardozo)
_____________________
CF Papel 18 Holland
CF Bojinof 19
CF Vogyan 17 second best growth in the game, you have to be extra patient with this one.

These 3 CFs all reach 95 in the growth sheet , I'm still waiting for the payoff.

=============

There are other players that are good but I don't want more than 16.

ST Paumjohan 19 Germany
Farfan, Rajinia - Brazil CF & WF
C.Ronaldo & Rooney
SW Contari
SB Sergio Ramos Spain
SB Chierini ? Italy 19 or 20

The names written here are all translated from Katakana, which are the alphabets that are used for foreign names in Japanese. Not very precise.

I checked the growth rate of (almost) every player under 24 in ML and then went for the youngest to be able to supercede the growth line by training in the off-season.

All the players mentioned above reach above 90 in the growth sheet!

I started on 5 stars and finished season on top of the league and won the cup, but my players were weak, I couldn't get good rates after the game. I noticed that my player's growth didn't come as it should. I restarted in 3 stars. AT least until the critical growth age is over.
______________________________________________
I didn't change the original 3-5-2 formation, but I copied one offensive formation and a counter-offensive formation on tactics formation A & B and switch between them in games.

For offense I switch DMFs to CMFs and SMFs to WF or ST. I only play like that at home or if I am losing.

The best new thing I like in wide screen is that the camera does not move up or down, where half the screen is wasted on the surroundings of the field. Just left or right. if I dribble to the top or bottom, the screen does not adjust to center the player I control. Playing field always stays as it is and I can spot anyone in middlefield.

The fact that I can pull back a CF caught off-side and have another player run after the ball is something I wanted for a long time and got used to it really fast.

My favourite angle for playing is 2nd from top, default in WE6, I have no problem looking at the radar for a moment and choosing the right direction out of 8 directions to pass. It's the dribbling that I need to see clearly.

What else is there?? That's it for now. Ciao
