Did you download the update? In mine, Clayton Zane is a 28-year-old Australian coach

I haven't edited anything either so I don't see what the problem is.

I'm only a month into my game as I am playing as four managers so it takes a while, especially when Boavista have only defensive midfielder and about 10 attacking midfielders, as well as only two strikers. Hard to find decent players with around £500k to spend and other clubs going after the same players I am etc.

The "coach" Clayton Zane also has 16 caps and 6 goals for Australia, but he's not a player, just a 28-year-old coach who doesn't have a job.

Oh....just found this from September 30:

Moving east to the Belgian Jupiler League and Australian striker Clayton Zane has been forced to consider retiring from Anderlecht and professional football after a long term knee injury failed to heal. Zane has been in the stands at the Constant Vanden Stock Stadium since November after he moved to Anderlecht in 2002. The last few years of his career have been plagued by injuries and Zane is due to meet with Anderlecht management next week. It is expected that both parties will agree to a mutual termination of his contract.

Ah, The update.

I think he has retired this year. Weird though because he was only late 20's. He must of ended his playing career early to be a coach then!

EDIT: Just read a couple posts up, I guess I'm a bit late. :)

Heres a loada' players which should keep you happy for a while. All pretty cheap, under 10 million: ;)

David N'gog - Hes dubbed the new Anelka! Only 16 so you can snap him up on his youth contract.

Pazzini - Pretty amazing striker, has got me 15 goals in 12 games for Aston Villa!

Sobis - Brazil under-21 player, amazing goal scorer

Gladstone - great centre back, solid as a rock

Okaka - Another young midfielder from Roma who is on a youth contract

Agger - One of the best defenders I've got on FM, get him for about 3 million

Yossi

Loopy about Lupoli
Danny Szetela, Al Bangura, Joe Lewis, Scott Phelan and Owen Garvan are pretty good. Those are the best youngsters off the top of my head.

Dejan Petkovic is a very creative 32-year-old Serbian forward playing in Brazil - if anyone wants that sort of thing. Valued at around £1.5m but should be very useful for a couple of seasons.

I was so desperate for strikers at Boavista, I signed a 41-year-old Italian, Antonio Barraco (I think that's his name), on a free transfter. He has amazing technical attributes, but also awful physical attributes like 1 for stamina...

Benfica have a good defensive midfielder, Petit, whom they don't want and can be bought for around £575k. I think he's about 28, but he has a number of mental attributes which are either 19 or 20. He didn't want to join Boavista on loan, so unless I try and sign him with Red Star Belgrade, he's going to Bolton.
