I've stopped playing for now as the level of injuries is way too high. Not as bad as the demo but still excessive.

EDIT: Udinese winning 6-0 at Napoli with neither side having a player sent off also strikes me as this game not being the typical FM we know and love.

I've noticed a lot of injuries too - particularly against teams like Stoke and Bolton. I had to cope for a couple of weeks (thankfully, only two games) without any left backs, with Aurelio and Dossena injured, and Insua out on loan - thankfully I beat Fulham while playing 3 at the back.

I'm really rather disappointed by the ratings of all my youngsters. If I went onto every single one of them, and followed my coach's advice, I'd have to offload every single one of them (except the ones I've bought).

I hate how in the first half of every match, at least one of my strikers is awful - say 5.6 and can end the match with 6.9 or so after a bollocking but without scoring.

It just seems they've really screwed up the balance of a few things in this game and I know I'm not alone in being unhappy.

I agree with sweey, getting pissed off now; signed arshavin then in his firstgame, ten minutes in, he gets injured and now he's out till the end of the season. £11 million wasted.....

The one thing i do like about this game though is how if you are out of funds, but are currently bout 300K under your weekly wage budget, you can have your finances restructured. I changed my wage budget by 200K and got round 18million for transfers!!

That was actually a feature in FM 2008.

as barn said, i dint get last years version because Football Manager ruins your life, and I went off it for a few years. Last one was 2006 right barn? Great memories of getting fired as birmingham while we were in sweden after we smashed aston villa 4-0.

I have worse memories of taking over Hibs and turning a corner only to be sacked in January. Tragedy. Nacho Novo and DJ Campbell had just clicked and all.

I remember Novo got a last minute goal at Ibrox to draw the game, and we were playing Hearts in the Scottish Cup semi-final...and I was still sacked. What the fuck did that shit team expect?

Shall I buy this or stick with FM 08?

Stick with 08. The injuries for a large number of users simply aren't realistic in any way whatsoever. It isn't worth taking the risk of you being one of those affected users when you have to activate the game and therefore probably can't just sell it on afterwards.
