If you want sales, sure go with all these online modes, make the graphics even better, get more licenses, etc. But that will not have a long life.

Can you imagine playing PES2010 ( assuming the game play will be fixed up ) online and it being just as if you were playing against your friends? That would be the only game I would want since I dont play nothing else anyway....

i`m exactly the same as you ,i play pes 80% of the time ,i bought my PS3 just because i wanted to play the new version ,i clocked up 1300 games online on pes08 and i only bought in in feb and the game doesnt really have a long life simply because theirs a new version each year ,which brings me back to my marketing point of an online master league ,imagine the pre orders of this game if from version to version ,there was a minimum of 5 seasons on a masterleague ,just trying to buy ronaldo or kaka with a 100 or so bidders would be exciting in it self ,not only that but limiting the ppl who can play in your master leauge by country ,to improve online performance ,or even playing the full english league with your mates ,the best part of the game has been made better ,but not only that konami like you say would then probably sell more copies ,make more money ,set aside sufficient funding for development and devolping the game play and other option files i mentioned above

dont get me wrong i agree with you the game play is the priority but that isnt going to be fixed over night it would take years and even then the next version will have a gimmick in like diving or a different skill to learn, but what i`m suggesting is a way to broaden the appeal and fanbase giving konami time to perfect the title

Unfortunately the more i think about it, the more i feel that if they dont open the game out with more directional dimensions and animations i will never be happy..

after playing f.f. , pes2009 just feels too basic and flat now..!!

please please please please Konami

i know it will be hard to do but i think its the only way forward for pes

would be nice that size wouldn't be so much a factor like it is in pes... guys like Alex from fener, Ricardinho from Galatasaray and even Cabañas are always muscled off the ball, when they aer able to protect the ball well...

That would all be cool, but you know that FIFA will always be one step ahead of PES in terms of "modes and licenses".

Konami needs to focus ONLY on The Gameplay.. Otherwise they will keep loosing customers to EA's FIFA.

i think the EPL licences are up for renewal in 2011 so who knows

and personally i think your looking at it wrong ,pes should be trying to steal customers from fifa ,and the ability to play an online league would be something different and original ,and thats exactly what fifa have done with their 10v10 online ,its quick cheap nasty FUN where as PES with more or less the same looks and play has 1v1 end of ,with a lot of lag thrown in

your a first time customer, looking for a football game, are you going to chose the one that sounds fun or the one that sounds dull???

Whatever, if you wanna play the same OLD shite with "new modes" -- be my guest.

I'm not wasting any more money on the same game. It needs to grow up, it needs to "evolve" as the title so clearly suggests.

And yes, FIFA will always be one step ahead in terms of "licenses and modes". Therefore, PES needs to prioritize on The Gameplay -- the only credible chance of beating FIFA.

But you have your opinion, I got mine.. I just think that if it was for Online Play or New Modes I'd rather play FIFA.

The thing is, that they should improve points which are easy to improve.. I feel that they should be able fix both of them..

firstly i completly agree with you ,the game does need to grow up every version ,bar the last two ,just seemed liked updates ,but as i stated in one of my previous posts ,the game needs an original feature to make it stand out ,legends is fine but detracts from the real game ,this is only a suggestion box of what we the fans/customers would like to see implemented in future versions

personally i think the game has evolved albeit slowly and there is so much more needs to be done to replicate the game accuaretly ,yes game play is important very important ,its the reason why you like it ,but if konami brought out pro evo with much improved game play and you bought it and you could only play a simple game of football with no online ,would you play? ,i know i would ,but if the next version came out the same with minor enhancements to the game play with once again no online would you buy it again ,id probably skip that version in all honesty and look for other excitment

p.s. i wouldnt play fifa even if EA sent me a golden copy ,hand delivered by carmen electra who gave me a bj while i signed for it ,the only version i can remember ever liking was fifa 98 rtwc and that was only because it was difficult to score and that paled into insignificance when i played pro evo for the first time

I like realism and want more depth in ML more than anything. I guess I'm mostly looking for something of a FM-PES hybrid.

The three things I'd like to see haven't been mentioned are:

Injuries - We need more of them (but don't go overboard, as with fouls in WE9), especially little niggling ones that can be played through, but at a risk.

More divisions in ML and lower divisions in the leagues you're not playing - It's unrealistic when a team like Torino stays pinned to the bottom of another league over 10 seasons of ML, while your league has promotion/relegation.

Youth/Reserve team w/ playable matches - Virtually every pro club has them, and since part of the fun of the game is developing players, this would add a great element of realism when trying to sort out and grow your kids or players who are returning from injury or are on bad form. It would take some thought, like total squad limits would have to be tweaked (your first team 32 would include 11 starters + X subs + X reserves, as is the case now, but a separate reserve squad of X amount players, maybe another 32 or even unlimited if funds allow, would be needed, with its own conditions for calling a player up to the first team).

The Eristic: I agree with that.. Simple, straight sollution.. I thing that they should cooperate.. It would be smashing to Play Football manager and then match will be in PES and you will controle it..
