ads, you obiviously must of missed ballacks 30 yarder, benzemar + messi's 1 on 1s (Beautiful animation) and Torres' volly into the top corner all of which looked great. Thre shooting is quality again. Ive said previously Henry is dodgy in pes as he isnt represented very well imo but the gameplay vids you've brought up i admit look bad but seriously there are about 4-5 vids ive seen that look crap and about 30 that look quality and so far you've only brought up incidents in the few crap vids of usless players.
Also in the game where Henry does score that goal the Liverpool team setting was apprently on amature or something low as you can tell when Messi runs all the pool players stop running towards him.

Why>? If in my opinion, its the best footie game out, then why should I not still play it. Or should I instead shell out for another repeat of rubbish from EA and Konami, just so I can help fund them in coming back the next year with another repeat of yet more rubbish.
honestly all konami need to do is recreate PES6 with enhanced graphics and make the gameplay slightly slower. That was the epic football game.

The only criticism of fifa 10 is the shooting. The shooting in my opinion lets the game down badly, the power bar needs to be more visable for a start.

Fifa has a massive delay your through on goal press shoot then 2-3 seconds later, also its stupidly easy to score amazing goals, so they dont feel special...and chips are stupidly easy 2, fifa has no life span never has, games feel like a task after few weeks. Soooo boring.
I felt the chips are difficult, infact I found the whole game hard. I can easily beat the computer on pes on top player, but on fifa I cant barely beat the CPU on beginner.
Maybe against human opponents fifa may be better. the passing in Fifa is crisp and smooth just like real football but in Pes the ball feels heavy and its hard to string together 1 touch passing.

Except for when two players tussle for a ball and it randomly pings off in a silly direction, and when you have a shot, the ball suddenly gains air-flow qualities... oh and the worse the team you select, the more the ball slows down and floats in the air... bit silly really... theres always a ridiculous amount of curl on the ball on fifa as well> As if gail force winds interrupt the path of the ball.
Lol i see where you're coming from mate. Some aspects of fifa 10 are absolutely disgraceful and these factors have always made me a PES fan. The curl in fifa is to over the top, suddenly from a simulation it decides to turn into a comical game when shooting and crossing.
dribbling was a problem in 09 as well. all you had to do was call a defender and they will go straight through the attacker and take the ball. they have loadsa skill moves with the right stick but 90% of them are useless. the only one i try and works to beat somebody is a feint to one side and a drag to the other.
It seems they have gone from one extreme to the other, in 09 if you got passed the last man with half the pitch to go you could be John Terry and magical outpace Messi, now if you break free with Messi you cant seem to outpace anybody.
it is a good game and i think i will be buying it for the second year running but sure is still with its problems. and all the build up has stayed the exact same, its just duplicated from 09 minus some terrific new animations and the gameplay (which is still very similar)
still i cant say i dont like it, there seems to be an ignorance on this sight of people valiantly protecting either game and strangely been unable to except any flaw that is pointed out about said game, that seems to dominate all the threads and cause all the flame wars
also, they need to take the toe poke straight to the keeper whilst under pressure out of PES and make players shoot with their weaker foot when thats the only choice, too many times my player hits the ball with his right foot and scores, despite this been impossible to do with the technique he uses from certain angles.

Agreed. I actually got bored playing my first game on the demo. They've just tweaked it a bit, but saying that there would be no need for major improvements. PES hasn't actually hit its pinnacle yet, so for that reason PES will ALWAYS be better than fifa.

YOU HAVE TO PLAY BOTH GAMES TO SEE WHICH IS BETTER.
Ever since PES2008 and FIFA08, I have brought both games each year. I got both PES08/FIFA08 and PES09/FIFA09 so I think I can give a good and fair judgement on which is better since I play both and I am a huge fan of both.
FIFA08 was better than PES2008.
FIFA09 was better than PES2009.
FIFA10 vs PES2010? I can't judge yet. I'll play both then i'll judge,

very valid points The Liverpool Way. Who knows what pes 2010 will be like until we play, you can't really judge the gameplay from video footage. However, you can judge the graphics and how fantastic they look!
PES has lost alot of fans over the last 2 years, Konami must have thought that the die hard pes fans will never move over to FIFA, but this is exactly what has happened. I think this is a good thing as it makes Konami work even harder rather than being complacent.

What are you doing on the pes 2010 then? If you want pes 3, play it. If you can live with the shite graphics then go back to it.

Yh PES2010 looks much better for graphics and player faces and kits.
Though more animation should added to make it even better.
I think with the addition of 360 Degree Control, better player faces, Champions League, Eurpora League, better menus, vastly improved Master League and more - PES will be better and maybe 'The King' will return.
I hope you're right mate. Since I been playing PES right from PES1, I never thought I would have to buy fifa again. Tbh i think the 360 degree movement is a bit of a gimmick even with fifa i cant really tell the difference.

Yea the graphics look the same as 09 in FIFA10. No difference.
I just hope PES has more/better animations and better commentary. Those are 2 things that FIFA has always done better than PES, I would like to see PES doing that sort of stuff better.

The main graphical differences in FIFA are that players look slightly thinner now. Maybe too thin. Again, this comes with lots of retarded "players are fat as fuck!!!" comments on the EA boards last time out.
Plus, some faces have been improved and look very good. Again, if you're very pro-PES, you'll dismiss this and say they all look like zombies. Can't really disagree on that one. >_>
The lighting/colouring seems to have improved though. I didn't really see a problem during day matches in 09, but night matches could've looked a little better.
