the goalkeepers in pes6 are absolutely afwul. they drop evrything or just knock the ball into the goal. i cant believe how bad it is. really does spoil the game in my opinion. too easy to score. anyone else feel the same way???

Goalkeepers are alot better in PES6 than WE10. I had a few matches online and Victor Valdes was awesome, saved many powerful shots, great in one-on-ones, and i could swear i seen a spectacular one hander. I'm diggin' the keepers right now - but this is what it's like every year, a whole host of problems that apply to individuals and not necessarily everyone else.

It's always either too fast or too slow, it's either too hard or too easy to take on goalkeepers... same old, same old - i'm gonna sit the debates out this year, starting from........NOW!

Yep, the keepers are about 75 times better in PES6 than in WE10 although I'm seeing quite a few silly drops and rebounds.

The keepers in WE10 literally did spoil the game, which was unfortunate. Yet to get my hands on PES6, although I'm liking the sound of improvement for the keepers. It's fairly realistic however for the keepers to fumble the simplest of balls at times, lack of concentration more than anything so I guess Konami have done well. Wouldn't be 'that' good if all the keepers were unbeatable.

Since I'm already posting, just like to ask as I don't think I'll be getting the game within the next few weeks: Is there a way the keepers can drop-kick the ball ? (I've heard a double tap of Square does the trick, not sure about the truth behind this though).

I'm not saying they can't, but i've tried double tapping square and circle to no avail. I did try with not so good keepers though - i'm not sure if it works with keepers with high stats or not.

Keepers have ruined this game for me, i didnt play WE10 but PES5 keepers were far more solid,.....this game will not be played anywhere near the same amount of time as pes5

Quite impressed with them myself. A real improvement from pes5, not too over the top with the touch of improving just about right.

About the GK, this has pissed me off a bit, but TBH how often do you see a keeper catch a ball in real football.

Well thats what i think, some keepers find it safer to push it out rather than hold it.

And i suppose another thing is the ball physics, they cant be to sure where its going to go so they make a fuck up and parry it.

And it looks much more realistic when they dont catch it for some reason.

I think the GK are brill though, they pull of some great reaction saves!

IMO goalkeepers are too good. In training i scored 2 free-kicks out of about 50 with Juninho and thats not a lie.

The keepers to spoil the game slightly. I have discovered a new 'dirt goal' - basically shoot quite hard from any angle to the left or right of the goal, the keeper covers the near post and parry's it into the centre of the goal for the striker to tap in. Also i did a triple circle cross with owen - no one in the box and the keeper decieded to hit it backwards off himself into the goal. AT LEAST it gave it as an own goal i suppose. Owen was embaressed.

This always happens in reality, hence poaching.

However for your second point, it is just plain stupidity, althugh to be fairer it has been happening since about PES4.

It does happen in reality but not as much as in this game. Basically to counter it, you have to close down any shots. I have learned to defend better.

Great recovery save by the Reading keeper:

Although he did make a hash of it to create the chance in the first place.....

That is a useful addition. They actually try to make up for mistakes now! Robinson made a great save but parryed it out to a striker. Instead of cursinfg the swerve of the ball and blaming a defender, he got up threw himself at where he thought the ball was going and saved the shot with an outsreched leg.
