Can anyone tell me how far you have to get before the bridges open please? I swam to another island and got a 4* wanted level :(. I'm 9% through the game, is that anywhere near where the bridges open?

Cheers. ;)

Great game. I've had loads of fun playing it, probably more then 3 and VC.

Mainly because of the missions. So many fun missions, it's sweet.

Also duel weilding is great, two uzis seems to kill faster then the M4. Lacks the rage the M4 does but varity is the spice of life. Apparently you can duel weild sawn off shotguns, I'll have to level that skill to hitman level soon.

CJ makes the other two main characters look like pussys. Mainly because he can improve his various skills, making him a killing machine.

After about 3 days of playing I've finished it, but I was playing a lot and have blood shot eyes as proof. Still got a few loose ends to tie up though, and various side missions to do.

Best Gta since the original.

The Missions seem so much more relative to your situation, cities(or city I'm still fairly early on) are more real, cast and voice acting amazing. The graphics have definately improved but its a bit like pes, you don't realise how much they've changed until you go back to play a previous version and your eye's bleed at how bad they were.

Music, top notch, people say vice city's better soundtrack, pah, even if you don't like rap, personally I think the modern stuff is crap, this is the Original Gangsta shit, "it was a good day" is a tune, the rock stations have proper tunes, country is even listenable too, and my personal favourite is House (SFUR), man it reminds me of the good old days bit of Frankie Knuckles and 808 state, "voodoo ray" is a long forgotten classic of the Hacienda days.

These are initial impressions, I'm not the World's best at games like this so it might take me a while to get to the other sectors, for now it seems a more "complete" game, the improving skills is a good implication, I've been riding motorbikes all over, I love 'em, and I can see a definate improvement in the control of the bike, I ain't been swimming yet but I love the idea and I think I might have a mini-orgasm when I'm able to do the sky-diving.

I've got one question though, when you move to the new cities do you become less of a gang-banger, like when you move to Las Vegas do you do more Casino-style missions like putting someones head in a vice, or are you still robbing houses ?

Thanks Travis very insightful... is there a KChat Station?? or something to that effect?

Yeah, it's got a chat station but it puts me off playing the game when I'm listening to it. Some funny adverts on the stations like the one about the kids handheld game odvious masturbation connetations, and the gloryhole "a place where strangers become friends.", if you don't know what a gloryhole is do a google search with family filter off*. A little thing I've noticed that helps, is pushing forward on the left styick while driving raises the camera which helps the view. I'm pimping at the moment, get my pimping stats up, is there a shooting range I can go too to get my aim stats up?

*over 18's only, but of course noone under 18 is allowed to play the game.

unnicked i thing you ahve to hold R1 to target the tag

my mini reveiw, well at frist i wasent all that sure, the cars felt 'sliper' like the tyers where warn, shooting was a bit of a pain but as times gone on and the RPG affect running in the back ground has made think sweet, the more you do the better you get, i really make a diffrence. another thing was the gym, i wasent copleatly happy about ahveing to go back and fore but its not as often as i thought, may be 1 a week or two to top up, and the affects on cj a nice toch, from frist skinny to cut. the mission are more foces to cj, do this to help your self in stead of something random. and the map well it huge with no slow down or loading time, it amasing, if you havent got it go get it, it is worth the money!

Im at the point where, i get Madd Dogg's Mansion back off that gang....i past all them Casino missions. then my PS2 starts pissing about again, (the laser is going) and it says, it can read the disc. so then i restart it. and it says Disc Error. then when i went to my cousins house, i put my disc in his PS2, which is the new silver one, and it still says disc error :(

i got it off Amazon.co.uk, will i be able to send it back, and get a re-fund ?

I don't have it yet, should be arriving on Monday (it'll be my FOURTH PS2 game  )

It looks awesome and all, but does no-one else think the transition from 'Gangster' to 'Gangsta' makes the game lose some of it's appeal?

I mean, it's like gone from Scarface to Tupac. While I'm sure it'll still be a good game, I think it loses some the class that came with previous GTAs. I haven't played it, but the stereotype for the type of characters in the game (carefully stepping around the racial issue) is that the crime is not as 'organized' and rather just overblown gang wars.

Should still be a great game though, but does anyone else share these concerns?
