It totally never occured to me that that crazy latina girl, Catalina was the same one from the first game, until I won that race and she unveiled her 'new boyfriend' which was actually me from the first one! and said that they were going to liberty city!...haha that was great link.

Anyone been to Madd Dogg's mansion and heard the bodyguard playing on the playstation saying, "Haha,Tanner you dumbass". I love the way this game keeps dissing Driver. They did in the first one when you killed the "strangely animated character, who's "usless without his car" named Tanner too.

I love these little touches. Like the fashion magazine on the table in CJ's house on Grove Street is mimicking Vouge but its called "Rouge" and you'd never even see it unless you looked close.

I beg your pardon?
Had a quick blast at my Uncles house at the weekend and I was blown away...
I didn't think it was going to justify the hype. Until I found a jetpack, then a parachute, then a girlfriend and stuck the other joypad in for two player fun, one driving one shooting. It's the little touches that make it for me. And in a twenty minute go I found allsorts I'd never even heard about. Brilliant, and a must have.
My 9 yr old cousin is very fond too, I wouldn't let him play it but his Dad said it was OK. I don't agree, but he isn't my son, so I can't say shit. Mother Fucker.

Yeah, they've gone all out on a war against the censors that's for sure.

Anyone gone diving yet. Shat meself when I popped down to see a huge shark, needless to say and came back to the water surface and began to bash the x button as fast as humanly possible. :(

I'm thinking about buying the game, but I'm not sure if I'll like it as much as Vice City. I don't like to buy games with out playing them first. One question....
Can you buy properties where you earn money?
I heard something about buying a Casino. True?
About some kind of Auto-Shop type place. You steal cars for a guy...?

The casino, a haulage firm, a truck driving firm (I think) That's all I can think of right now. Also, later in the game when you start to fight for "turf" you get money for every patch of "turf" your gang owns. And after shagging 10 prostitutes (like in vice city remember) you get the money instead of them, like you're the prostitute now. lol.

Bad ass. I think I'll go and rent it this weekend, cause I'm short cash. :D

How far are you into the game.

I heard you can get girlfriends as well.

Not very far, only had it for about 10 hours. :D

Yes you can get girlfriends, I think that it's further into the game (when you unlock the city of Los Venturas; over the bridge)

They give you certain bonuses, i.e one of them is a cop, and when you have 100% relationship status with her you can keep weapons when you're busted.

Cool. Sounds like one hell of a game.

10 hours? I bet you've been playing it for atleast 8 of them. ;) :D

There are suppose to be some pretty awesome new features. Like the getting buff and having to eat. Robbed any houses?

After 5 playing days (not complete days, more like a maximum of 5 hours a day ;)) i have completed San Andreas. The missions certainly get more fun as you go along, the Los Santos Backcountry missions i felt were a real chore but the SanFierro and in particular Los Venturas missions were mostly very fun. Unsuprisingly missions get a lot more difficult towards the end though, that damn learning to fly a plane mission and the couple after that in Los Venturas backcountry really pissed me off  The game has grown on me after moving past the shitty Los Santos backcountry area but i am still a bit disappointed by the game. Halo 2 and more of FM05 next up me thinks :D

Heathen! How could anyone be disappointed with quite possibly the best PS2 release thus far, it blows Vice City out of the water with its advances in gameplay. And to quote PSW magazine "the most complete, enchanting, immense and rewarding single player experience ever seen in gaming", there's so much to do, I really doubt you could complete it 100% in 5 days then after that never play it again...

I suggest if you are disappointed in it you give your copy of San Andreas, your PS2 and copy of Pro Evo 4 away to someone who can appreciate it and then self-bludgeon with a sack of doorknobs.

I have completed all core missions, i am around 90% complete but do not feel the need to go around doing driving missions for which serve no purpose other than eventually result in a '100% complete' sign appearing on the stats page.
By saying i am slightly disappointed in the game does not mean i do not enjoy it, i think it's a good game, just not as good as others are suggesting. The soundtrack could have been far better, the camera angle is usually terrible, the A.I of other characters is laughable at times and the graphics look hardly anymore impressive than gta:vice city. Why that should mean you should suggest I give away my ps2 and all my games god only knows, or should i just lie and say GTA: SA is the most wonderful experience i have ever had the pleasure of experiencing in my whole life when that serves no truth whatsoever!?

Don't get me wrong here, but some things did disapointment me but it's still almost perfect.

Small spoilers..

The ending for one. It left too many loose ends like that Big Bear guy, totally wasted character. Nothing happened with The Truth. Salvatore made a death threat and then nothing more. Toreno just up and went too.

Also, the assets. One of my favourite parts of VC was buying the many businesses and getting them to generate cash for me. In SA there are a grand total of three assets you can buy and will generate money. After you do say the trucker missions that generates money for you but you didn't buy it, just did some missions for them. Plus, Woozie's casino. He gave you a stake in it and it doesn't become an asset? What's up with that.

Gameplay makes up for it though I guess.

Urm hate to break it to you but this is a Playstation 2 we're talking about, you haven't taken into account the fact that the state of San Andreas is several times bigger than the entire VC yet there are no loading times when travelling between the cities and countryside and the impressive draw distance to boot. The PS2 has been pretty much pushed to its limits in this game.
