The beautiful game
I have had gta:san andreas since the day it was out and i am nowhere near completing it only 30% done so far i think im slow because i didnt buy vice city, as for the graphics there are poor but it dosent really matter after seeing getaway 2 san andreas seems million times better.Completeing the game really quick seems a waste of money IMO.

The PS2 has been pretty much pushed to its limits in this game.

Maybe so, but i am not saying this is a terrible game, far from it, i have said it's a good game but after hearing so many people making exaggerated remarks such as 'its the most incredible experience ever' and the graphics are so much better than in the previous GTA series i have not found this to be the case at all, and was disappointed by some aspects of the game. You are going on like i have said it's a crap game, i am just saying i am quite disappointed with it after such (imo) over-the-top remarks towards it, i expected it to be better.

So if you buy a game and keep on trying to complete missions and succeed you have just wasted your money? I do not think so, it depends whether the game has enough in it to keep you playing, i will still play GTA: Sa even though i have completed all the core missions and can start the game over again to repeat the missions. It's up to the game's creator to add enough depth to game's to keep gamers interest, and after completing a game it does not necessarily make the game unplayable after. i.e Halo i must have completed around 4 times (even though i completed it within a week of buying it), which makes it great value i think you have to say.

I'm in the Backcountry at the moment, the missions do seem to be far apart but I reckon thats to try and push up the driving stats for people that have rushed through the first city. It seems like a good change of pace to me, whoever designed the map has done a great job, it is like a "real-world".

When I was a kid I used to read in magazines, about games of the future, where you'd be able to walk around a world environment and interact with everything, this is getting close, and I think games like this should be pushed more, rather than the graphic-dependent first-person-shooters.

The missions, I reckon, have been alot more fun than Vice City, the one where your car smashes through the sign, and it shows the sign and because of some missing words it reads " The taste of . . . . . . . come. " with the picture of a girl gargling back some drink. I thought "I'm playing a Rockstar game."

Rockstar North have been able to create an entire state full of people and cities with their own individuality (is that a word?) on the PS2, imagine what they could do with the next generation consoles.

I'm a bit disillusioned with this game. Obviously I do really like it but it doesn't seem as if it's going to take as long as I'd like to complete. I'm nowhere near finishing it but iI haven't really played it that much. Luckily I have THUG2 and PES4 to alternate between (although I've completed Tony Hawk's now).

I wouldn't say that I'm disappointed by the game. I'd say its definitely better than Vice City. The only things that annoy me are that they could have got better, more recognisable music and the graphics were definitely worse than in Vice City.

But apart from that, the gameplay and lifespan is just out of this world! It has to be one of the best games if not the best out on the PS2.
u e kidding me! the music is absoloutely amazing, its got all of my favourite acts from the past decade on the one radio station

One little question! Sweet is pinned down, surrounded by a rival gang. When I arrive I see my 'homies' shooting at a building but I cannot see any people! Where is Sweet and his girl? How do I save them? I just can't seem to find them before they get popped. Any help appreciated! Cheers.

Sorry I ain't reading all 400+ posts, but my tip to anyone is plug da geezer who appears after about the first 15 or so missions outside CJ's crib. Homey wears a black t-shirt, black trousers & has sum serious bling-bling round his neck. He'll try to talk to you. Answer him with a 9mm upside the head & he'll spill around $2k right there.
Best thing is, he appears several times around yo den, each time coughin' up tha cash. Then the crazee fool starts showing his ugle mug around other parts of town. Plug dat fool if you need dem greens.
Saves wasting your life playin pool or bettin on da ho-ses.

And sometimes in the car, I always crash into another car whenever I'm going across a bridge as the camera angle is too low to see whats ahead of you. And I know you can use the R3 to lift and tilt the camera up and down but we shouldn't have to control the camera manually!

You can lift the camera by pushing the left analogue stick forward aswell. Its probably the best thing they've ever done with the camera, and I'd like it to be implemented into driving games in general. I agree with the shooting, its a bit dodgy, "second sight" has the best aiming system I've played.

And steviboy I thinkif you talk "positively" to the drug dealer you can start selling, making alot more than 2k.

Am back in Los Santos after doing Las Venturas.

The mission where you steal a military jet is pretty cool, you get to keep it afterwards too.
