one final problem. Ive downloaded all the files in the JB 1.12.03 patch and use WinRar to extract the main 111mb file and the update. I then applied the main 111mb file and am currently checking it on CDMAGE.
It is 31% through and at the bottom of the screen where it shows progress the number of errors is continuously going up. It is now in the 30,000's
Is this meant to happen, or have i Done something wrong. I made a rip from my DVD onto CD and have tested the CD and it works. I then (because of the fact i was using a different computer) extracted the .bin and.cue from the CD onto my hardrive and applied the patch.

Before you apply your patch, scan and rebuild sectors if necessary. Then apply a patch. Then do the same afterwards. If you want to apply a patch then apply the latest one. 5.1.04 with 8.1.04 update.

Ive realised for the Jonboyo patch that I need to patch the DATE_E.AFS file by exporting it with CDMAGE and patching with ppf-o-matic. I did this but then there is no option to import back into CDMAGE.
I am using the 111mb 1.12.03 file, there were also 2 other .RAR files in this particular folder on lomungtung.no-ip.com. One with the same name that is only 11mb and is corrupt, the other one was an update.
So why cant i import it back into CD MAGE once ive patched it.
I also have another two questions.

Sorted it now and its worked. Just had a quick go.
How do i find the latest JB update though now and how do i patch it? Do i just patch my already patched bin?

I'm still struggling with cdmage and the repair/rebuild of damaged sectors.
It's taking forever and for some reason it seems like there are some sectors that won't rebuild or repair.
How long should it take to repair and rebuild the sectors?
Should there be 60 odd thousand errors after scanning the first patched image?
If all this seems wrong, what have I done wrong?
The clean bin file (up to step 16 on the patch guide) is perfect when scanned, the patch is applied succesfully with ppfomatic, except the binblock validation error. Then I do the scan.
Please, somebody, put me out of my misery.....

dunk, the number of errors looks about right. You just have to be patient. I don't scan and my patched games work fine.

yo how long does it take for the swap magic boot disk (cd version) to load up and say instert disk? the main menu appears and gives me the options to change language, select video mode and launch the program.i launched the program and waited like 10-15mins for the insert disk 2 appear on screen and it doesnt?? i have da 3.0 version of it and have a old (black) and new ps2 (silver) version and tried both of them.... any help??? the dvd swap magic disk works fine and insert disk comes up straight away?? i have ordered two of these wap magic utilities whih include dvd and cd r version of bootdisk plus the swap card and tested both of them on two seperate machines? can any1 help? thx for yout time...

I'm thinking the game won't work unless all the damaged sectors are repaired. Am I right?
