Guide to Making your PES3 DVD into a CD for patching

I followed the guide in this forum. I´m using Jb 1/12/03 anyripkit patch that is applied to the DATA_E.AFS. After burning the patche PES.CUE file the cd freezes over after the Playstation logo. I used CDmage to scan for corruption and also ECCRegen. None of them picked any errors. Any tips?

1- As anyone apllyed yhis patch?
2- When we download the patch it comes with two files, the first one is corrupted (i saw in one of Robinho's posts that i had the same situation). Is this file (about 11MB) needed to complete the patch?
3- Using this patch, will i be needing another to aplly to the bin?

You must be tired of my questions, but believe me, all i want is to make the game even better, just like you all.

i'll just warn you now daemonarch that i tried to patch a ripped dvd version and it all worked on the computer and then did nothing in the ps2. i imagine this'll be the same for you. If its not i'd be interested to hear how you did it.

Thank you Paddyknight

I know what you mean. The same thing is happening to me, but the original ripped DVD to CD works in mine and in my cousins PS2. I just dont understand why i cannot make this work. One thing i promisse you all: When and if i sucessfuly patch the game, ii'll make a patching guide for kids (like whe were all 5 year old).

Cheers and thank you again

1- I don´t have it but it definately works
2- if the file is corrupted then it won´t work I think.
Get the 22.11. jb patch from lomungtung, and try to apply it, this patch must work, it worked for me and Zyg

I have a dvd rip- identical to retail but not if you see what i mean! i follwed all the ripping and editing stuff exactly, for PES3 and WE6:FE and the cds just dont work as in my PS2 wont load them it stays in browser, and my only thought is that its cos im not starting with a retail, im gonna buy a full retail version after christmas and try again probably but im getting desperate to play a version with sponsors etc!. Both of my original versions work, its just when i write them, it might be a crap discwriter or the download version of cdrwin doesnt write stuff right, but im not sure. good luck though!

Ok, i have finally got my cds working. I used Alcohol 120% datatype ps2 for editing my we6:FE already patched game and it works perfectly. I have been trying it for PES3 tonight, but i get to the Playstation 2 screen(which shows the cd works) and then nothing happens, stays black, any ideas about this???
i've been manually editing, and ive done everything correctly i think and cdmage came up with no errors.
also, i tried to use isobuster on a friends retail version of pes3 and it could not do it, saying it had errors in particular sectors even though the actual game works perfectly, dunno why.

Yes, i did it. I'm now the proud owner of one patched PES3 cd. I used the Jonboyo Anyripkit Patch 2/12/03. When i first started, i was using a copy CD of PES3 DVD, so i assumed that it was a ripped version, but it wasn't. After creating a bin and a cue file, i tried to patch the game using this CD, and the game freezed after the PS2 logo (it only cost me 6 CD's).
i took a great decision: start from the beggining!!!
Creating a copy of my PES3 DVD and following the guide made by Jonboyo. In the first time tried, i've succeeded.
I would like to thank Larsson and Paddyknight, both of you are also responsable for my patched game. As promissed, i'm already working on a Kid's guide to patching in English and in Portuguese.

Can you edit stats etc on patches through the edit screen, or can you only do it when your creating the patch ?

I don't understand what you're speaking about
If you speak about player editing, nothing changes compared to a normal DVD, you can edit player stats in the game, but you can use Kmochidas editor as well to edit everything on the PC.

Good to read your post xxxneoxxx. Good stuff. So you're playing patched PES3 now? Which patch did you go for?

Hi their Zygalski :D

I patched the game with J"b 1/12/03 anyripkit patch" Seems great so far not had any probs with it at all, and been playing it for more or less 3 weeks straight now....Give or take a couple of mins ;) hehe.

Just struggling my hardest now to try and form a good team at masters league...I'm hopeless on it...lol Although in all fairness i've not really played many games in ML yet, just 4 as it happens lost 1 drawn 1 won 2, so not a terrible record

this might just be plain old ignorance but why would you want to put the game on CD. Unless you don't have a DVD drive of course. But if you don't have a DVD drive you can't do this ~confused~

Haz-e, it's not a matter of having a DVD drive. Each patch needs to be burnt onto a new disk. Burning them onto CDRs is obviously going to be much cheaper (and quicker to burn) than burning them onto DVDRs. This is why we rip the DVD so it fits onto a CD. Also, many more people have access to a CD-writer but not to a DVD-writer.

You may be able to.
Is there a difference between a CD-image and a DVD-image besides in size?

BTW, why do you want to burn it onto a DVD?

I don't know about that bartos.
If you have a blank DVD-R and a DVD-writer, maybe you could apply the patch to the bin of the DVD and just burn it?
