Guide to Making your PES3 DVD into a CD for patching

Zygalski

Follow the ripping guide first. Once you have a CD-rip image (720MB bin file + 1KB cue file) - keep the original image safe and unpatched. Make a copy of the folder and then edit away on the copy.

I don't have a clue and I wouldn't recommend it unless you're very patient and willing to go through wasted time and CDRs.

The best method to play the patched games is to follow this sticky or the beginners.txt file in the other thread. Anything else which you whish to try is upto you! The best method is explained crystal clear in the thread.

Right! I think I I have finally lost the plot! i'm going crazy!

I have followed the guide over and over again I have made sure I am following all the steps correctly, I assure you.

Please read what I have to say (looks like alot to read, but important)

when I follow the guide exactly my ISO file is 565,386kb (should be 613mb)

so I tried it a different way, when I extract the 'flash_pes3_retail_cfn' to the 'patcheddvdrip' folder i cut and copy the contents to the main folder of 'patcheddvdrip' folder (usually it is in 'patcheddvdrip' folder but in another folder called 'flash_pes3_retail_cfn'). Then when I try and make the ISO it comes out to be 738,186,319kb (not 613mb, which it should be).

So I am going insane please believe me I have followed the guide as close as one human can (lost count, coming up to about 50times).

So can someone please send me a reply suggesting why my Iso isn't 613mb?, are there any reasons why my ISO is so small or so big?

Please, please help me! I am literally going mad! (please don't send a reply along the lines of 'if you follow the guide correctly it should be ok' because I have)

I take it no body can solve my problem. Oh well looks like my dream of playing patched pro evo is doomed.

I will keep trying, even though the same thing keeps happening over and over and over again when I follow the guide.

oh well!

:p

I´m sorry for you, I even went again trough the ripping process and checked every step, but it works always fine for me, I just can´t think of the source of your problem.

help needed pls...

could someone pls shed some light on what i did...and offer some explaination??

this is what i got after countless (and still counting) ripping & patching (using idiot's guide)

-blank screen after ps2 logo...why is this so??i did:

1. downloaded the 2 files -> 281003-IOPRP271.IMG & 281003-DNAS271.IMG & pasted them onto the main root directory of my 'patched dvdrip pes3' folder.so what do i do with the original files??(i left them as they were)

in my 'patched dvdrip pes3' folder:
IOPRP271.IMG was in the main root directory
DNAS271.IMG was in the IOP folder.

2. i removed the dvd check using dvdscan2 and also after clicking on 'pes3.bat',after the "creating iso image" msg,an error msg "error..could not open IOP/IOPRP271.IMG".am i supposed to ignore this msg??(which i did)

3.my soccer3.iso was 613 mb.

4. everything from then on went smoothly but in my 'newpatchablebin', my bin file was 704 mb & cue file 85 bytes.(i keep getting this on all my previous attempts).i read that bin & cue must be around 721 mb & 1 kb.

5. i scanned with cdmage & eccregen.founds errors & repaired them.

6.i have tried burning using cdrwin, alcohol 120% & nero 5.5 but all gave me the same thing...blank screen after ps2 logo.

im using:
isobuster 1.5
FLASH.PES3++RETAIL++CFN.RAR
cdmage beta
dvdscan2
ppfomatic3
ppf patch-jonboyo 5.1.04 & 5.1-.8.1update
nero 5.5 & alcohol 120% to burn

its a bit long but i really some help...thank u to anyone.....coz i think im LOSING IT!!!!

I think I explained him on pm what to do, and since he hasn´t posted in this thread since one week he sorted it out I guess :)

Thanks for the excellent instructions. It's an outside chance, but could someone skilled in these sort of things try their hand at converting this to work with WE7-US? It's more or less identical to PES3 although some of the file names have changed. As a result, everything works up to step 10 in your list, where the pes3.bat file fails to copy a handful of files (my guess is that they have been renamed).

A million thanks in advance to anyoe who can figure this out.
