I never said I played PES3.
I have not played PES3. I have only played WE7.

Someone called 'Riot' (and a couple of others) has played a special preview version of PES3 as he works for a German magazine or website for games or something like that. It's for reviewing purposes only and they are trusted not to copy or share the game, only sharing of info on the game. This lead him to let us all know that WE7 and PES3 are exactly the same in all ways except in language.

Would it be worth waiting untill PES3 is out in October/November, rather than shelling out nigh on £100 just to play WE7 (my PS2 is not patched or anything like that)?

Exciting

MAN, i'm excited about this news, now i can make those silver nike boots that i wanted to put on some players on PE2 but they only had white and they didn't look quite right.
And those orangey red nike boots that Joaquin and C. Ronaldo ware.
Man i want this game now.

WE7 is MUCH easier to patch because of the CD format....PES3 might be able to be patched, but you will need a DVD burner bewcause the game will be on DVD

For (NathCCFC)

1.
I think that WE7 will be really good with the updated strips and boots and logo's etc.
2.
BUT, PES3 will have proper English menu's, possibly will be slightly updated on the transfer front, and the commentary will be in English.
3.
And WE7 costs near a £100 if you don't have your PS2 chipped, then you have to buy the game, a blank CD and have a CD Writer installed in your computer if you don't have one already installed.

But if you have one installed then i think if your alright for money and desperate to play WE7 now then (GO FOR IT) and download the patch when it comes out.

I was thinking about doing this but i don't have CD Writer so i didn't bother.

So im just going to wait the two or three months for PES3 to come out.
It's annoying but that's life.

What I meant was:

Is it worth waiting to BUY PES3 from the shops in UK, instead of burning WE7 and patching my PS2.

It'll be a waste of money if PES3 and WE7 are exactly the same (bar the language), won't it?

It depends, if you want to be able to use all the great patches that are surely to come out for WE7, then get WE7 and a slide card....otherwise, just get PES3 when it comes out in November...I was just merely saying that because of the CD format, it is much easier to patch, that's all

There are two choices at the moment. If you can't wait for PES3, you get WE7 now.

And you have to decide on whether you want to play PES3 with the normal edited kits and flags or WE7 with patched and accurate kits with sponsors, logos, flags etc.

Plus you get a heads up in terms of patching capabilities of PES3. I will buy PES3 and probably patch it if it's possible (and relatively easy).

A patched WE7 will have more up-to-date rosters then PES3 (when it is released), so we will be playing possibly Champions League patches while all those PES3 players will be after that 10,000 WEN ;)

mike, what are the chances of an english commentary patch for WE7?

Haven't really thought about to be honest, but I'm sure with the progress they made on the PES2 commentary patch and the experimental Fifa commentary patch. I will have to have a better look at the file structure when I'm back to "full strength" (computer-wise).

The bad news about the chants and commentary was from that well known man Solidus...

"in WE7, not exist the .adx files, now are compressed (Zlib compression) in a .spf files, the callnames and kabira comments, but the chants, now are compressed in .ces files (this files contain two chants ..), so now is very very hard edit the sounds and specially the chants .. but nothing is impossible .. :D" (his quote if you haven't seen it.)

But with the collective resources now in the patching scene it's only a matter of time before they find a way.

So once PES3 is released the audio could be extracted and whacked on top of a well presented existing patch. Which would be nice unless the commentary is the usual standard, in which case it's good old Jonny K :D

i think the best is to patch the PES3. I hope the guys who do it for WE6 will do it for the PES3 as well.

Sounds good mike. Seems all the patch masters are on holiday at this point in time - great timing! The community needs you guys back!!! (We'll wait though)

It may be good to patch PES3 but few people have DVD-writers so it would not be as popular as the WE7 patches. You need to understand that it is more difficult to patch a PES game than a WE game.

I will be buying PES3 anyway. Careful what you say jag, mate.
