I’ll give my opinions on the Master League (That’s if it means anything to you lot!)
I have briefly browsed through some of the posts on here...and from what Tech's saying, he doesn’t like it because of silly A.I. (I thought the Mrs. Tech part was funny though!)
I’ve JUST started playing Master League (Because I waited for the data update….and fix first)
But I feel NOT because I want to play it, or I HAVE TO. But I feel I’m just playing it for the sake of it, for the achievements n’ shit. But not for the personal reward you get from it.
Back in the PES6 days, I must say I RELIGIOUSLY played that game and playing the Master League was really rewarding, signing players gave me a great feeling.
Back then (when it first came out) I would have been, 14/15 years old, and signing players in Master League was brilliant! I HAD to buy all the best players, and I would spend hours and hours and hours, just trying to get to the transfer windows.
But now (19) that shit just doesn’t interest me like it used to, I feel I just want to get the whole thing over and done with, as quick as possible. I don’t enjoy that part of gaming like I used to!
I played PES6 for 2 years non-stop, it was THE football game. I never bothered with PES2008 on PS2 or any FIFA’s at the time, it was just PES6, PES6 and yes you guessed it....more PES6!
I played that until I got an Xbox 360, so that kind of says a lot about that game and just how good it was!

Enough of me waffling on about PES6's greatness, Back to PES2011:
Having played about half my games now in the Master League on PES2011, I have seen some VERY VERY silly goals, scored and conceded! The ball “script idly” bouncing and moving by itself….so the ball can eventually end up in the goal….a lot of own goals have been seen too!
But I’ve scored some FANTASTIC LEGIT goals (Scored 1 earlier from about halfway with Gerrard, for which I got an achievement!)
- One thing that is annoying, is the amount of stupid free-kicks being given, sometimes even when I’ve GOT THE BALL. The player will run into me and give them a free-kick for it!!!!!
But bar a few minor problems…..that’s the great thing about this game (even though I don’t enjoy the Master League like I once did) it isn’t a consistent game, it doesn’t follow a pattern of play (Like FIFA does)
.......and that’s what keeps pulling me back for more and more.
I don’t know how many times I’ve been like “Just one more game…………”
……and had another 4 or 5……
I play this game with a smile and thats what its all about for me!
I played FIFA for 3 years, red-faced....and no smiles!
......The game (PES 2011) isn't perfect, it has the same niggles and bugs of old.....frustratingly!
But look at it this way, we could be playing FIFA instead........

You do not know how Football could and sould be played from a wide view perspective; that's what I mean to say when I say that you know nothing about Football.
PES11 has nothing to do with Football, a good video game if you still enjoy PES5, but a disappoitning game if you no longer enjoy playing outdated and COM dictated video games.
You like it, I don't: the FACT remains that PES11 is average at best, certainly not close to a "good" simulation video game, it deserved worst reviews.
You do not know what you are talking about, because you do not understand how Football should be played from a wide view perspective; the noobs are better a playing PES11 than they were at playing PES10, that's no accident.... PES11 is just an easy fix for the masses, insubstantial where it matters the most.

I'm still saying you're already done with this brilliant topic, said all what you had to say, adding anything new to critisize. But by all means please go on.

To me it's a game with flaws, something is better something is worse than 2010.. Always seems to be the case with new Pes's. For instance I feel that player control and passing are better, new feint system works (but they should make players fail in faints more often). But it seems that new AI can't cope with all the new features and freedom of passing in the game that well. Like it would try to function like last year against this years tricks.. so it doesn't stand a chance.
Hopefully next year konami just releases us a Pes2011,1. I feel that Pes 5,6 were a bit like this, only tweaking the last version to better. So that's why they succeeded so well.
And as pointed out the main flaw with Pes2011 imo is that lots of very weird stuff happen on the field, silly goals or mistakes which can either make you laugh at it's stupidity or rage like it seems to do mostly. And this stuff is mostly the fault of AI, all over the pitch. Just shows that Konami should've spent more time on the game, and hopefully they do it in Pes2011,1.

What the fuck are you on about, the game isnt more challenging at all compared to the PS2 days of old, the computer simply exploits flaws/bugs (whatever) in the game in order to score goals, if you are fucking stupid enough to think that provides a realistic experience in this day and age, then you probably need to take the joystick out your ass for about 3 secs and look around at what other games are doing.
Grand Theft Auto is a whole world of free roaming missions, intricate story lines and even has an advanced physics engine (emotion engine i believe) In that game the possibilities are fucking huge, even when you hit someone with a fucking car, the physics engine means that the way the people fly off the bonnet and roll around on the floor is not only realistic but also very varied.
Now in this fucking day and age, you want me to accept a game where a defender stands still and lets a through ball go through him nearly every time and then begin to start harping on about programming as if doing something which was previously fine on the damn PS1....is now all of a sudden very difficult?????
This is all the CPU AI does against you on top player.......goes out wide, striker makes a run, the cpu will do a perfect through ball every time from a wider area in effect bending a pass around you last defender.
THE SAME THING EVERYTIME. If you can defend against that, your looking at conceding alot less goals.
In the previous PES, if I pressed Triangle to ask the GK to come out, he would come out IMMEDIATELY not 30 mins later, I conceded a goal the other day where the GK moved backwards 1st, to make sure the striker would deffo get to the ball first, THEN.....he rushes out. Play Pes on PS1 and come back and tell me if the AI does this stupid shit.
So what you need to do, is put your butt plug in and shut the fuck up, cos your talking some class A shite, do your paper round and save your pennies then go to a bargain bucket near you and play PES on PS1 and even PS2 and come back and tell all if the AI isn't worse in this respect.
Games are supposed to get BETTER as the console spec improves, I don't expect to see basic AI issues that weren't even present 10 years ago on this version of consoles.
I dont wanna hear no more talking from Internet Ho's trying to justify disgraceful AI like this, put the fucking coil in and go put the dinner on.

ok then to actually settle this coz im tired of asking you lot how exactly the ai can be improved, why dont you send an email to konami stating that the ai that the game has is full of shit, ask them what is the reason for not using a better engine to create the game... i think that when you recieve your reply you should post it up on here for all to see otherwise we should all stop talking about something that we dont fully understand coz simply if you say you do then explain what could cause these problems and what is the solution coz if its so easy to correct these problems then where is this perfect football game coz frankly theres only 2 games fifa and pes, are either of them perfect no yet fifa gets 10/10 from a magazine review what aload of shit pes is far better just not as polished anyways write that email and lets wait for the results..

.....................I think you just need to use basic fucking logic, no emails to konami needed.
In PES on PS2...........When you pressed triangle, was there a big delay in the keeper coming out which would lead to goals being conceded...................NO.
So why the fuck is the goalkeeping worse on an more advanced console spec?
In PES on PS2, would defenders regularly allow throughballs to go through them or stand still to allow a striker to get onto a throughball................NO.
In PES on PS2, would a goalkeeper rush out to ball going about 10 yards wide of goal, and then do a saving animation so that the ball conveniently goes right to an opposition forward, who passes the ball to a CPU striker with an empty net...........NO.
In PES on PS2, if goalkeeper made a save, would 5 defenders stand still, to allow one striker the chance to run in and have a free shot on goal................NO.
Im not talking about fifa, here im talking about the AI in PES, its shit, that's undeniable. There are alot of good things about this game, but AI is cack for the most part.

Well I can talk from the demo of pes 11 because I still don't have the game. But I plan to get it after december I believe.
Anyway, Tech is right about response times especially for the keeper to come out. It wasn't an issue on ps2, so why should it be on ps3 when the game's suppose to get better??
Look at Red dead redemption and GTA IV. Look at their physics engine (as tech mentioned). They put EVEN FIFA to shame (so imagine what they'll do to pes). In these games, everything is soooo open, nothing is restrictive. Nothing feels sluggish and unresponsive and you're ALWAYS IN COMMAND unlike BOTH PES AND FIFA (yes in fifa 11 I don't feel the control like I used to do in fifa 10).
I know they're different genres, but if you look closer, then you'll realise that these games are actually much bigger than both fifa and pes because there's so many things in them.
