I have to agree, the way they have marketed the game has been a shambles. They should have stated what percent each build is and what it was showing. They should have told us this is a x% build and no animations have been implemented. This would stop the speculation. With Fifa you know what is what there is no ambiguity.

See this is one of the reasons i crossed over last year to EA, you know what I did?
Fucking pm'd one of the damn developers and said "These are some dead easy changes you can make"

-No Guessing
-No Bullshit
Just one PM, and you know what, I think some of the tiny things i requested might be in it this year (might be down to loads of people asking)
You can even twitter david rutter himself, and if he can he will hit you back with a straight answer, he will tell straight, what is and isnt in, no bullshit.
One of the good things to come out of this garbage today, is that PES gaming is distingushing itself as the 'go to forum' for pes fans, at the moment you can come on here, have a proper convo, tell it like it is, whereas other sites like WENB clearly have an agenda and will slience you if you dont agree with them.
I just dont know what has happened to pro evo. Have they forgotten how they created the ps2 classics. Apparnetly they only had a team of 10 peeps back then, now they have 200. They could have showed us a trailer of new animations like 1 min 30 long, showing the running animation (a major gripe of many fans), various passing and shooting animations and so on. It cant be that hard

Ermm I Have to say, i saw the running animation in the video shown this morning, it wasnt good, notice how erik picks up on exactly thr same thing in his playtesy report from earlier on today. Check this mornings vid, it looks different to me, but not great, see what you think.
i meant they should have shown a vid clearly showing a new running animation. I just have a feeling through all the crapness from Konami, they may deliver at Gamescom. This tiny hope is there due to the ps2 days. If they fail this year, they should just make pes 5 or 5 HD and start from there. I would take that over pes2008/9 any day

I think nobody would disagree with this , its just unbelievable.
Apparently PESfan have the 2nd latest code in the UK as they are the official site for pes. The latest code is the one seabass is bringing to gamescom. Pesfan has also confirmed that in their code the graphics are better than the video just shown. The Pesfan code must me the same as eurogamer and ign as i think this is the on with new animations implemented.

All this stuff about builds and codes is a joke.
PES fan have the latest code which erik had, and he said that had the 'big changes' in it, so no excuses on this one, we can wait till Gamescom, but Im skeptical over whether this the gamescom code is gonna be hugley different.
Dont worry about todays vid, thats probably old, worry about what erik said this morning as he is talking about the latest build that WENB dont even have.
ok if we go by that i should look at the 4 positives too not just erick, positives being ign, pesfan, eurogamer and Cannagia (not from todays mess up, previous twitter)

Trouble is, in the years since PES and FIFA have been doing battle, Japan's lead as the premier gaming development area has taken a back seat, whilst western developers have taken cues from Hollywood and music promotion and been able to hype their games way better than the odd way Japanese companies do it; countdowns for MGS5 for example. Who cares about a silly countdown?
Get a star name in, get the promo done, bust your ass to make your game seem great even when it's in an early build and you're laughing.
Fudge around and show minor updates such as real currency in Master League and expect to look silly. If PES is to be taken seriously, it needs to be developed in Europe or the US. Japan can have its Winning Eleven, but its about time Seabass had nothing to do with PES as he's jumped the shark in terms of taking the series forward, IMO.
After all, how could he let PES have automated functions that ruin the game and the worst AI cheating ever? In the old days, his games were head and shoulders above, but now, it's a shadow of its former self.
I can only imagine how good a game PES09 could have been were it to have the current graphics and features, but PES 5 or 6's gameplay.

Yeah why not, go for it.
Im not doubting the game is going to be better than pes09, and I know for a fact fifa10 is going to get flack next week for looking very similar to fifa 09.
Mark my words people will be kicking off, once they see a shiny new look pes and a fifa that looks like an updated version of last years game.
Until they play the game a few times.....then the truth will come out.
very true, watching a vid is completely different from playing it, especially when the players playing are lower level. Gamescom vids tend to be two players playing each other, but i would prefer 1 player vs computer to see the AI

- Months ago it has been rumored that Gamescom will show this 'new' pes and all its got to offer

-IGN is thinking of switching to PES this year over FIFA

Haha, people are gonna have a hard time understanding that 360 dribbling on fifa does not visually look like a major difference, the difference will be when you play with it. You wil be seeing lots more statements like this in the coming weeks, because asthetically, fifa 10 doesnt look much different at all to fifa 09, but little things like the improved crowd, improved manager mode, improvements to animations, ball and player physics will become more obvious when the game is played.
Remember I said this when the talk of PES being a shiny new game and fifa 10 just being the same as 09, comes around next week.
