How is everybody doing in ML?

I started from scratch because I didn't feel good about the transfer loans I made in my first season. I think transfer loans are glitched up since the player will accept no matter what you say... 1 point for Buffon? Sure why not.. ugh.. very lame.

Anyway this is my new setup with my new rules:
1. Hardest game play setting
2. Hardest ML setting
3. Custom Team (NTAC UNITED) w/ default ML players
4. Not allowed to do transfer loans

Having a rough time... I'm having a heck of a time defending corners... I think most of the goals I've conceded have been from corners. I lost my first cup game at home 1-0 ..ugh.. but by some miracle I managed to win the away game 2-0!! .. Very shocked... in fact that is my ONLY victory in the season thus far. I'm at my 2nd round of the cup now, and I think 3 total games away from the first transfer period.

Very excited to buy some new players... I will be shopping strictly from the "new commers" pool and "players without a club" pool if there happen to be any. If i have any $$ after that then I'll check the other groups, like upcoming talent and what not... but I don't think I'll be buying anyone with a transfer fee larger than 2000.

My goal in season 1 is to somehow win the cup... if I can surivive this first leg I think I can pull it off... we'll see.

Oh and I NEVER redo matches. If I lose, I lose.. that's how it goes.. no matter how painfully excruciatingly horrible my defeat might be :(

Just gone back to Master League after about a month away, unlocking players and creating old players from previous PES games (bloody worth it, playing as Ravanelli, Di Stefano, Charlton, Frank Sinclair...). Glad to see my new signings are fitting in - Lee Molyneux in particular is an excellent purchase, scoring the only goal in a 1-0 win over Man U in my first game back.

Anyway, I have a ML question. I believe that next to a player's ranking (A, B, C, etc), on the second page after a match, it shows their loyalty to your club, in the form of a heart, which fills rather like a heath bar from a side-scrolling ancient game. However, for several of my new-ish players, this heart is grey, and broken. Now I presume this is because they have 0 loyalty for my team - but why? I thin kthey are on pretty nice deals - are they just moody bastards?

just tied up first season with my custom team, ASV, saved over PES United, on top player. I buy young players and let them develop so I found the first half of the season rough going, crashing out of the D2 Cup on away goals to Sparta Rotterdam :/ Without the distraction of the cup, we were able to keep clean sheets until we tied up the title with a game in hand.

ASV Squad

GK

Boka

i'm nearing the end of my 2nd season, i must admit. things are going swimmingly. My team

---------------Ramon----------
----Vornander--JEAN----Walton

Gervinho-----------------Ordondor

my Current league form in La Liga

Goals Scored : 62
Goals Conceded : 29

Real and Atletico are on 64 points, with Barca in 4th on 62 points

Since the 2nd transfer window ive won everygame in a row, i think its because i boosted my squad a tad too much. End of this year i'm going to sell my star players, and bring in a few newer bodies.

CB : Vornander
CB : Jean ( sex )

CB : Jaric
CB : Libermann
CB : Ruskin ( love this wee guy, left back/left mid. Never tired, excellent squad player )
CB : Giersen
DMF : El Moubarki

AMF : Gambino ( My star man )
AMF : Gervinho ( Signed him there, hes 22. Liking this one too )
AMF : Ettori
CF : Ordaz
CF : Donovan ( played a MAJOR role in my first season, him and loval were 2 players i first signed )
CF - Folan ( coming along nicely. Sexy body balance of 90. not a bad finisher either
WF : Loval ( used to be my perm right winger, cant score to save himself )
CF : Hamsun
CF : Cho Jin wha ( A future Schwarz im thinking. only 18 )

Im in the semi Finals of the D1 cup aswel, just won the first leg 3 - 1. Looks like a successfull Season for me. Defo cutting the Squad RIGHT down though. I prefere the game harder

If i do decide to keep my star players in Gambinho etc, i'll start playing 5 minute matches. ATM i do 10 minute matches on Top Player

I had fun typing this out. new Bruce album is ready ! Yuss

at the end of my 1st season with AC Milan, have only been able to loan a few players and now they are returning to their clubs.

Anybody recommend decent players who are easily bought?

Best bet is just to scour all the players in the first week with no clubs - I have made several excellent signings that way - although in fairness, you don't tend to get players in their prime for free - I think I've only got Kazim that way, in his prime. You either get handy journeymen, like I have got Zebina, Morientes and Ambrosini, or promising youngsters, like Tomkins, Consigli and Saivet

Just had a mid-season transfer window. Axed Geovanni, just 6 months after him signing for me, as he was officially useless. Also let Morientes go, for a backup player, his condition was just too bad for him to be regularly played.

So, I started off by signing Chris Eagles, who was without a club, and very cheap, to replace Geovanni. I replaced Morientes with Luis Garcia, who I am gonna try up in a supporting striker position, as opposed to midfield, where I think he will be too weak. I spotted Pavel Nedved had just been re-born, and I know how excellent he always turns out (ended up being my best player on PES5 and PES08), so he's in my reserves for the moment, til his awesomeness kicks in. Finally, I bolstered my defence by signing a player who, amongst over 100 others, I had created. World class legend Des Walker is my new captain.

do players re-born with their original abilities?

I'm after 4th week of my 3rd season with Valencia, I'm playing an unpatched version of the game so I have Arizmendi etc. 1st season was on Professional difficulty, finished 1st with 5 points over Zenit, 2nd season still on Pro, finished 1st being 35 points clear of runner-up Real Madrid (after 10 games I was 4 pts behind Barcelona, won over them next week and it was their turning point as they made it from 10 won matches to having lost 14 by the end of the season), so off-season I switched to Top Player after beating the dribbler team, the tall team, European and World Selections quite easily... Now in that third season I'm 2nd, having won 3 games and drawing one, 2 points behind Villareal CF who are having 4 win streak (first game of the season and first in PES 2009 on Top Player was 5:1 against Barcelona...).

My team is as follows:
GK: Hildebrand, Rubinho
CB: Raul Albiol, Micah Richards, I. Helguera, C. Marchena
SB: Rat, Miguel, Armand Traore, Dagaka
DMF: Miguel Veloso, Albelda
CMF: Baraja, Edu, Wijnaldum
SMF: Silva, Ribery, Vicente, Joaquin
CF: Villa, Arizmendi, Park Chu Young, Obinna

So just a few words... Hildebrand is 31 now and still growing, Raul Albiol has like 86-92 stats and still not peaked, Richards is a future prospect but still the 2nd best CB, Wijnaldum is growing quite slowly (too big skill gap between him and the rest for him to be effective), Silva has the highest stats of all the team, Villa is doing simply awesome and Arizmendi has developed a whole lot over those two years and has 87-94 stats now and still growing, he's gonna be a killer I guess. Park Chu Young and Obinna are future prospects as well, the latter being 22 and having 95 in top speed, acceleration, dribble speed and jumping.

So, that'd be it :D

In the 1st offseason you should be able to find something in the players without a team group...

I started out as Man Utd, just coming to the end of my second season now.

I've made a point of completey revamping the squad, I have no players aged 30 or over. So the likes of Scholes, Giggs, Neville, Van der Sar and even O'Shea have all fucked off.

Tweaked the formation slightly, so I have two wingers (Ronaldo and Nani) and then I have Anderson holding with Diego just ahead of him. One problem with Diego is hes very rarely on form so Carrick, Fletcher or Hargreaves usually play his role.

Then I have Rooney upfront, playing just off Ayew.

I've also transformed Jonny Evans into a right-back and hes been impressive, Evra is still going strong too but I've signed a long-term replacement in Richarlyson. I would tell you my centre-backs but they're a couple of South Koreans and I can't remember their names. They're alright though.

In my 6th season, 10 min matches, top player, won everything first time.. ave. win % is 75-85..

Starting line up-

Cech

S.Ramos --- R. Albiol. --- John Terry --- Drenthe

Essien

Silva Nedved(reborn) C.Ronaldo

Torres Rooney

Bench -

Dida (reborn)
A. Cole, Da Costa, Nestor, Maldini (reborn)
Lucas, Lampard, Fabregas, Slinziel (sp)
Villa, Benzema, Vela, Orreliano (sp)

Thoroughly enjoying it but might start a new one for the sake of boredom.. 6-0 over and over again gets repetitive!

EDIT - Forgot to mention, reborn Nedevd is brilliant, his stats at 20 are in the 70s, some green and a couple yellow but he still scores some absolute crackers

Starting season 2 right now, in my 3d game. Picked up a lot of nice players and managed to win 2 of my first 3 games. Unfortunately I'm about 12k in the hole, so if I don't win the cup I think it will be game over for me... quite a gamble but I'll try to pull it off.

This is quite exciting, I have an outside chance of winning my first treble. In the Champions League semi final, and the same in the D1 Cup.

In the league, I was flying, but have just recorded three draws to make it close again. The last of these really pissed me off, as I was 2-0 up with 88mins gone, and Everton play a long ball over the top, Saha runs onto it, and I bring out Krul, who, rather than clearing it, when he got to the ball first, controlled it, and I was so surprised that Saha tackled him and made it 2-1, then they equalised.

But I am 1-0 up against Man U in the first leg of the D1 semi final, due to karma. A blatant penalty was awarded to me for a foul by Man U's Oleguer on Whelan, and Camacho took the penalty... low, down the middle, but the keeper stayed still, and as replays prove, kept the ball well away from going all the way over the line (about 10% of the ball went over), but the ref gave it as a goal.
