Right Beyondwancker.. I will start what I hate about fifa.. )) Firstly, it is recieving of the ball.. You can try whatever you want, but the recieving where is too many players is not possible.. If you stop the ball then deffender just have to hold blue and you can try tricks, sprint button or left trigger.. Just it is imposible.. That's why it always look wierd, when you in front of goal, where i found another problem and that is response.. Shamely they put control of the run on left stick, so it is not possible to get sharp reaction, it's always just aprox.. Then Becouse of theese two reasons happening third reason, and that is goalscoring.. Most of the goals coming from breaks or headers.. Also it is almost every match my player put on bycicle kick, which was looking well lol.. If I switched everything on manual or not, it is not affecting areas i am about - It is just more difficult.. It is more difficult to score the goals which aren't looking nice and coming from breaks, headers.. Time, I will have to spend on that game will be far too much to just discover same, as I discovered on the start.. This is the only and always same fault of fifa.. Though, I have to say, that FIFA realy improved since 2-3 years ago, when I played last one.. But, it is not enaugh to be as good as PES 09.. The enjoyment of PES is exactly there where isn't in FIFA and the otherway.. FIFA got much more staff in the game, but PES got heart which is still unbeaten..

i do like pes it fun to play but like u say in tems of competeing it is crap cause it looks nothing like a next gen game the only thing thats keeping me playing it is the master league with the defults players

He's talking shite, seriously, especially that bit about not being able to control and keep the ball amoungst lots of players, which is funny cos i can do it. But we know the AI in fifa marks space, you cant take one player like eto and start running through entire teams on the regular.

But we all know you cant come off PES 2009 and cane fifa in 2 weeks, so many of these guys are delusional, they come off a 2d game with 8-directional movement thinking they can hammer a game with a far superior ai and far more possiblities in terms of shooting, crossing, passing within a few weeks. Cos the standard crap which gets you goals in Pes 2009, aka run run run cutback shoot, doesnt work against FIFA AI like it does against pro. The same way the standard fifa crap of years ago didnt work in PES.

simple FACT, NO one has loved pes more than me of that im sure, but it has not stepped up in the last 2 years.. as a games player my needs have evovled and as a football lover my wants are allways there..

Pes no longer gets me out of my seat, where as on manual fifa does..pes gamplay is flat, basic, simple and arcade like, fifa simulates real playing styles.. both games play shit in the wrong hands but when you know what your doing fifa can offer so much more...

saying that fifa is not for everyone, some people find it too hard, you need more concentration to play at the TOP and play the great football you want to do (the kind of football that comes easy sat back in the chair while playing pes)

i dont really care if you like fifa or not, all i know is that anyone who cant appreciate it is either really shit at it, dosnt like football or has an IQ of about 40....! for you i would say all 3..!!!

im not really playing pes2009 anymore, its lost its buzz and now with manual fifa it picks up that buzz, so dont really need to post here anymore.. i just broke through on fifa and cant risk getting pes hands again..!!

i dont think pes2010 will be able to get near fifa2010 unless they change the development team and invest more money, i just cant see it happening ... Konami really need to look at what fifa does and try to bring in some of that, but with all these nutters who cant even say the word fifa on this site, konami will think that pes is doing the right thing...!!! for me i think pes is a lost cause for ateast the next few years..

i own both games and fifa 09 is a quality game i thought it stepped up since 08 which sucked same as pes 2008 im a type of person who chops and changes betewwn the 2 it was only january when i stopped playing fifa and went back to pes but no doubt i will change again

Im not in a team of 10v10 but i do play quick matches of that mode occasionally. I just like to do my league with m8s, play with guests online and just do quick matches by myself. Fifa is only an online game for me. I tried the offline stuff but after a season or 2 they get pretty boring. I play on 360 aswell.

Fifa next year will hopefully make gameplay changes like quicker response times and if they do then Fifa will litterally be years ahead of PES.

I play on xbox, offline mode. I have wireless internet but wont get xbox live, i cos i live with my gf and need to spend time with her lol.

I never even bother learning the tricks to be honest, i do the odd stepover and the one where they drag the ball to the side, and the little fient. But i thought the tricks require timing and dont work well against the AI on world class where they really close your ass down. So i dont really feel im gaining anything by using it lots to be honest.

Ive always played the slick passing game with tight defence, proper football, since pes days, i was never one of the knobs who do that endless twisting and turning and then shooting. So i crossed over to fifa easier than some other might have, because i came to the game with experience in linking, 5/6 pass combinations and keeping the ball in PES. I configured the button in fifa to mimic those of PES, after that it was learning the tactics, system, how to pass and finish etc.

So yeah, not alot of trick stick at all, lots of passing, possession, link moves, are used to open up the AI. I dont really man mark, i mark space around attackers, then step in when I feel nessacary, ive had that Italian style defence since PES days.

I dont do it alot mind. Just at kick off. Its good at getting you out of tight situations. My fave is when they back heel it shortly to themselves then kick the ball forward. Thats very good in a 1on1 situation.

Definitely mate. How are you faring with it? I'm decent at manual crossing and long balls as i've been using them for a while. My on the deck passing is getting better but my shooting is woeful. I did challenge a guy ranked around 2500 in the world to a manual game the other day though and owned his ass so i must be doing alright. Only won 1-0 but would have been many more if i could bury my chances.

They shouldn't be looked up to as role models or examples for budding footballers to follow! but the passion and love for football of gazza was 2nd to none(he just had mental problems), and who said he was my idol, the pic was just to represent how im feeling about pes now...it went so far but now goes out in shame....

i really did give pes2009 a good go and at times thought is was good, but now i have got the hang of fifa(without pes hands) i cant get enough of it (pes is collecting dust) the gameplay is so realistic it amazes me..yeah there are flaws and faults but not even half as much as pes.. i lost 2-0 to my friend last night online Spain vs England it was unbelievable the best football i have ever played without doubt..

i know there are different opinions about how football computer games should play, but for me as i try to play and make the same decisions as close to REAL LIFE football as possible fifa09 wins hands down..

i feel a bit like a judas, but the roles have reversed fifa takes top spot for realistic gameplay and pes for arcade action....i think some people are mixed up if they say different and its most likely down to fan mentality. for me its a computer game and not an actual football team and dont see why i should stick with it when it gets relagated...

i first joined here to try and understand where pes was going to see if people thought the same and i wasnt going mad (as i have loved pes and hated fifa for so long) i naively thought that most or all pes players played it for realistisc gamplay, but to my horror thats not true..

im not saying pes2009 is bad its just not enough anymore, not much more i can say really. ive had some great years playing pes even made some great friendships from playing it..its just not my No.1 anymore :crymore:
