That guy is a fifa supporter...Look at his fifa review, he doesn't say anything bad about fifa...AND they DO still look like plastic, so he must be blind.
Basically fifa hasn't changed shit, so its still the same old shit?

I don't hate the game but master league is way too easy. Top player, defaults, hard difficulty... and i've won the league in my third season. too easy to get too many amazing players. scouting system is very boring and generally crap. a bit dissapointed tbh.
1 player mode, i find the matches too easy still. AI is improved but i dont like winning all the time. AI is far from ruthless infront of goal too.

I am playing a different game to everyone else?? Too fast??? this has got to be one of the slowest versions I've ever played!! It takes my players so long to get the ball under control and respond to whatever buttons I press that the comp players just to seem to be able to strole up to mine and walk the ball off them with ease while I'm waiting for my player to so what I've instructed him to do. And what's with the ridiculous super fast defenders?? Playing with england i keep finding that when I play through to walcott in space crappy stat defenders are able to close him down and put in a spectacular tackle from behind that would guarantee me a red card if I were to try it from such an angle.
I've played every version of pes since ISS on the SNES and this has got to be the most frustrating ever! Am fed up of being let down by seabass et al in last few editions.

nice thread, full of utter shite mind.
I've stopped playin pro now. midnight club los angeles...its the new garlic bread. Its intense and beautiful. PES 2009 is, well, we all know deep down, like a greasy stained cum rag used one too many times by the lass that used to be :w00t but 8 kids later is saggy and as ugly as Rooney, but hey you still let her suck you off.

Bad things in the game:
- Crowd chants are a complete and utter joke. I would rather have a generic static noise than hear them repeating the same thing over and over and over again. "Argentina! Argentina! Argentina!..." (loops for five minutes)
- Referee is terrible on judging slide tackles.
- Online still awful, in every possible way.
- Master League is the same as always, had enough of it.
- The animations of regular players runningis so bad it's funny.
Still fun to play, but overall a very sloppy and unpolished piece of software. Definetly not worthy of the current generation of video games.

i agree, she was good in her superstar soccer days and even tarted up nice in here pes5 days but ever since she moved to the xbox360 she has only been good enough to shine my knob and i only let her do that out of pity because i knew her back in the day when she was fine...oh and fifa, well she has been a ugly slapper from day one (best avioded unless you want to catch a std).
Totally agree with you!!! I am soo frustrated with the game especially with the AI tackling and how the arsenal team is sooos shite that van persie, ade and wally are absolutely worthless when it comes to beating defenders. Dont get me started on players reaction time.

TBH i have always hated the newer proevo games, but after some time i start to love them, but for some reason this one is taking longer than i thought and im still no where close to liking it.
I can not understand why this game is so laggy online, i also play a game called Joint ops online with sometimes upto 150 players on 1 map with a lot more going on ie explosions, choppers flying about etc and i get no lag. This game cant be demanding its 22 players running round on one pitch, so why is so laggy sometimes. Konami, i thought you Japs were suppose to be clever.

You shouldn't be able to make a solo run without tricks.
pes09 disaster and this is why.
1. the lag still bad when a player challenges the ball carrier especially.
2. the dribbling is ludicrously easy, watever that lad above thinks you definatly dont need tricks. this problem is easily the most annoying as it completely ruins the online play. as konami point hoares will do anything to win and giving the ball to ronnie every attack and wiggling the thumb stick gets a little tiresome. This makes the game a complete lottery. gone are the days of pes6 or even 08 in bits where the best player more or less won every time. a clear example of this is i played my friend the other day on pes09 he won 2 games to my 1 game. now on pes08 he would never beat me as my rank online was 145 (without the use of slag teams) his was 200,000. anyone now can completely crucify the soul of pes by not having to work the ball around to create opportunities, just get the ball wiggle wiggle, a little slaggy cutback BOOM the soul of pes goes down the drain.
3. the AI (especially defenders) i know its cause the ai is set on Henshaws blind school level but coupled with the ridiculous ease of beating players with a dribble this yet again ruins the class gameplay of pes of old. the whole point that pes was head and shoulders above fifa was the whole cat and mouse game of trying to cut out passes, commiting a defender, pressuring with a double team. or when attacking wether to put in a through ball or try to take on a defender. the only option now get the ball and run like hell. BORING even more boring than 1-touch pass fifa.
the only other moan is these cretins who wanted the proper licences. now it would be nice but surely that whole matter of the gameplay is far more important. you want licences and graphics go buy fifa09. you want gameplay and dont care for proper names just good honest football, get pes06 or wait for pes10.
tip for konami if you take pes6 and give it better graphics you will have a great great game on your hands. just a tip in case you're gonna experiment again like the last two titles.

pes08 = 7/10 (9/10 with no lag)
pes09 = 4/10 poor gameplay poor online trys to make it all better with some champions league balls
