with real madrid i use play like this:
casillas-GK
r.carlos-SBL
m.salgado-SBR
pavon-CBT
helguera-CBT
cambiasso-DMF
s.solari-LMF
l.figo-RMF
z.zidane-OMF
raul-CF
ronaldo-CF
the strategy is side attack or forwards press....it depends on how you want to play...
their defence sucks man...i think that Milan or Juventus, maybe even ManUtd have a far much better team than them...i mean overall...

Having trouble playing with Real is like struggling with a test that you have the answer sheet for. Basically what Dorval said but put Figo on the left and Beckham on the right (No Beckham - have you gone mad?) That's like going to a test without a pen... ;)

bah....i prefer playing with solari...with me beckham would play in the middle alongside with cambiasso...but that way i would have to play with just one forward...or 4-4-2 with zidane and beckham in the middle lolol...that'd be a bit offensive i guess...:p

that's a new one....solari dmf..never tried it....does he has(has or have??..have sounds a lot better...) high defensive attributes?

YES!!!

He's a world class left-back.

Actually he IS a left back but has to play at LW cos he's isn't gonna ever beat Carlos to LB.

He has improved in his attack, and maintained his defensive qualities.

He wins the ball from defenders and midfielders.

The Davids kinda player, can attack and defend well.

I use him alongside Cambiasso in DM.

Argentinian-connection :D

Raul Bravo and Pavon as centre backs
Helguera as DMF (slightly left of centre)
Zidane LCMF (further out to the left than Becks is to the right, but not left wing)
Beckham RCMF
Figo RWF (hanging on the touchline)
Ronaldo CF(slightly left)
Raul CF (deep and slightly right)

Why not Raul on the left and Ronaldo on the right?

BTW Zidane is terrible as a left-winger, as if Real have no where better to play him.

Agree on CBs.

-----------------casillas (GK)----------------

---------pavon-CBT---helguera (CBT)------

-m.salgado (RB)---------------r.carlos (LB)-

-----------------cambiasso (DMF)----------

---------beckham (CMF)-------------------

----l.figo (RMF)-----------z.zidane (OMF)----

-----------------raul (CF)------------------

---------ronaldo (CF)----------------------

Cambiasso's Mark Setting's to CV - covering. Use Quick Settings to choose 'Side Attack', but then add another Attack arrow towards the left for Raul, and change Ronaldo's arrows to one along the forward line, and one coming away from goal and towards the wing.

I've tried Ronaldo slightly right, he always gets forced into wide postions and shoot accutely.

Same for Raul on the other side.

The com teams are too defensive, it's hard to dribble solo past them.

You think they'd be more effective if Ronaldo played from deeper and more on the left? So he can turn in on his stronger right-foot, and same with Raul tunrning in onto his left-foot to shoot?

Or just use position edit to shift Ronaldo left, but keep him as the main striker, and with Raul behind him?

That was what I thought as well, but it just works for shooting, I mean look at dribbling, left-footers do better on the left wing.

Yes and turning in requires sidestep, which is one common way I lose the ball.

Here 2-footers come into play.

Zidane???

Actually Guti is much mre versatile than any other Real player, can play almost anywhere.

Attack, defence, midfield, but not between the posts.
