yeah your write zy. JP, you should try it on a m8s console who has his ps2 modded. if it doesnt work then may be it could be the disk.

What kind of cable shoul'd I get if the game shows only in B&W?
RGB, NTSC?

Game is Jap and my PS2 PAL. Using the swap thingie.

yeah i agree, the messiah is much more reliable. my friends has his ps2 'messiahed' for about a year and its been cool.

i use a slide-card. works great. no modding except removing the little cover of your disc tray. and $30 at that.

ok first post :D \o/ but anyway ive got a question. could someone please tell me the difference between the PES, WE, WE FE games? i know theyre all pretty similar gameplay wise and you can patch the WE FE edition but apart from that are the differences graphical, gameplay wise or up-to-date player stats? thx :)

PES in the european version of WE FE games are updated game of the previous WE. ie WE6FE and only come out in japan.

WE games generally require the playing of better football to do well rather than dribble-o-rama of PES2 which was too easy. WE players are slightly chubbier than those in PES. WE games are not as easy to play or score in as PES.
As WE7 is the latest version out, the squads are more up to date than in previous version. Once you play a patched WE game with kits etc, you won't want to play a PES game again.
