This is essential. Im sure the atmosphere has got worse since ISS Pro Evolution on PS1. There used to be great atmosphere from the national teams, eg England would sing Rule Brittannia & Great Escape, Holland had a band playing, Brazil had decent samba bands etc. In PES3 it seems all teams share a handful of chants, which a repeated back to back.

For the new version, my first suggestion is that if we will compete in 2 divisions in master league, there should be one cup combining divisions 1 and 2, it doesn't make sense to have a division 2 cup and a division 1 cup.

And for multiplayer purposes, a multi player master league would be a dream, which will let a second player to take control of the computer team for entertainment purposes when we play this with friends. But at least include that in all regular competitions in cup and league mode where when there's single or multi human players, another human should be able to take the computer team and play against his friend, this can not be a hard feature to stick in, especially considering that it's been done before and it is already partially on winning eleven 7.

The sounds definitely need a big improvement. Its an area of the game which has been overlooked to many times.

I would also like it if we can swerve the ball. Not too extreme, just something like the shots Pires likes to do. He gets the ball to his right foot and from the left side just outside the box, curls beyond the keeper into the far side of the net. Like the goal he scored against Liverpool this season, I think.

138 club team?! wow that'd be awesome! it would be great to have a massive cup like that! especially at the beginning at the master league when your struggling in the bottom league to get a cup draw against arsenal or something!


also i totally agree with the sound thing. the atmosphere HAS got worse on the games no doubt about it. i think everyone believes that the crowd is so much more important than the commentators. if fifa is for sky sports lovers then lets have pro evo as the game for the fans of the ppl who go and freeze their backsides off watching their team on a saturday. you dont get any commentary in the ground, but you definately get better atmosphere

That's a good idea (I haven't seen it mentioned before). Though it would need to be limited. Say, only once every season?

If there is one thing i want improved for pro evo 4, its player behaviour - so for eg. when zidane gets the ball he might try his spin to break a tackle or create space for himself, scholes might try a shot fake and then launch a drive from 30 yards out, Cristiano Ronaldo won't put a cross in untill he's made sure he's beaten the defender with a step-over or feint and Beckham will look to get a cross in without trying to beat the defender... these well known behaviours of star players need to be implemented in the game, as the skills in place such as aggression dont do enough to get the players a character.

Good idea. Giving player personalities so they look like as well as act like their reallife counterparts.

First of all, I think PES 4 should start it's evolution from
what was achieved in the previous one, - not from scratch as

a god - damn - FIFA does ...

And let's remind what exactly was achived in PES 3:

- great, playable gameplay

- good players's likeness ( not just appearence, but even their behavior,
habits, similar reactions )

- great stadiums's likeness ( every stadium has it's own pitch type,
which is brilliant )

- nice training programs

- great free-kicks & corners ( I really love them ! )






So, to my mind improvements needed in:

- game's interface ( I mean easily understandable and stylish meny,
options and so on )

- liscensed teams, players and tournaments ( If that would be improved I
am affraid to think about FIFA's future )

- commentary ( no comments )



That's it to my mind, not so much work for a year, is it Tokio guys ?

i think the gameplay is quite good. konami should start thinkin of addin more excitement into ML, or even more tournys, even tho i think ML gets the most attention. stuff like real currency instead of points and more info instead of general stuff. more control over ur players salary specially when another club demands ur player, u shud b able 2 specify the amount and the conditions, like say com (roma) is offerin $10,000,000 on ur morientes and u put a condition of $7,000,000 + Emerson. that wud make it more realistic ML must evolve

I have to disagree with these (already being in the game). The gameplay is good at times but at others can be absoluetly horrible:
- Idiotic passing
- Retarded AI
- Slow reaction times (by this I mean you do something and it can take up to a full second for the player to actually do something)
Also I see absolutely no trace of players acting like their real-life counterparts. Everyone is the same.

I agree. This was best in ISSProEvo2 on PS1. You knew when you were in control of a quick player because it showed. Also other players showed their strength or aerial ability more.

Agree with most of these points guys - I feel that when playing against the computer on single player - your fellow teammates should make more runs and in general just keep up.

Obviously other points such as referees, licensing etc. But that's one of my main gripes.

more off the ball movement from players would give you so many more options on the ball, thats why i think they should make a new stat on the game for movement, i.e higher stat more intelligent runs

- Tons more shirt designs with copies of all the major manufacturers available. Possibly a layering option as well.
- Option for secondary shorts colour for home and away kit, eg Man home kit usually has white shorts, but they use black ones if there is a clash of colours.
- More shirt number and lettering styles.
- Better badge editor which actually results in a crisp, detailed badge rather than a blurry one.
- Different captains armband designs - eg the Dutch armband is the Holland flag design.
- Ability to put sponsors on shirts.
- Ability to put kit manufacturer logos on shirts.
- Ability to put other flags or crests on shirts and sleeves, eg some italian clubs have the flag on the shirt.
- Be able to put more than 3 colours on a shirt/shorts - eg the germany and senegal shirts have 4 colours.
- More than 2 sock colours.
- Above all, a MUCH BIGGER COLOUR SELECTION PLEASE.
