wot Storm said is my usual, pressing ▲ or X on contact with ball but not gettin good results as yet.
As for the vid on Youtube, he says to use DOWN which no longer works in 2009. He is using XBOX also I think, not sure what the buttons are.
Will try the different angles etc. in training mode, cheers
you mean have the passing player on your bad side?
yeah, let's say the keeper covers the post furthest away, and the wall ofcourse covers the closest post, it would be normal for your player whos taking the freekick to get the pass onto his right foot and aim for the inside of the wall and outside of the keeper - in between. BUT if you get the pass such as the player is shooting from the outside of the wall, the shot will most likely go past the player covering the closest post and into the net. this works much better when you have a right footed player to take it if you get the freekick on the left side, and a left footed player on the right side. the shot would normally be struck with a lefty when you, from the pass, get it rolled even further to the left, but strangely this freekick works much better when you use a right footed player when it's rolled onto his left (still remember he's supposed to shoot with he's right foot)
i know it was confusingly explained, if you don't understand i might take a couple of shots and upload them to youtube.
anyway if the freekick is from 20yds and in, you shoot under the wall by holding "O" with full bar, while holding down arrow. often works this also, just make sure you aim as close as possible to the post furthest away from the keeper.
