Not for the game

Is anyone here good at translating Japanese text? There could be an interesting message from Konami to the patch makers! Interesting.

Konami already sent a big message to us patchers and modders with WE9.

And it ain't a secret.

One bony middle finger...

Actually, now I've stopped being facetious, a mate of mine has a Japanese girlfriend... if it's some colloquial Japanese phrase, if you reprint it here I could always see if I could pass it on...?

As a screenshot, presumably, if the forum doesn't display Jap characters... oh, and remember there are lots of Korean posters at evo-web, who are more likely to speak some Japanese than us Euros.

If it's a message to stop patchers patching, then fuck them, get us proper kits, spend a bit of money and get the finger out Nokami.

I have a couple friends who know japanese, maybe they can translate, most important thing is to post the message here so people can try and translate it.

Dunno if you guys remember ive talk about a hidden message within the game, that only can be seen by those who, like me, go hex editing deep in the game.

Seabass, i assume that was him, says that he been seeing mods all over EBAy and auction sites, that he understand all mod are carried by the passion and fanatism for our beloved We, but is not good that it becomes business for some ppl, even tough modders do not intent to it. So he had to change and encrypt stuff of the game.

That could be the reason option files are all encrypted and so were the kits and stuff.

Anyway We love Winning Eleven makers and im sure we all hate those F#$#$ idiots that are here to get $$$ out of our, modders, work.

c ya all,

Fernando

Thanks for the info Fernando ;)

Thats why we need to shop these bastards, I did it the other week with 4 or 5 people who were selling patched copies on ebay, and they were removed. I've found 3 of the cunts today, advertising all our editors hard work.......including mine

So this is just making our job harder cos Konami are trying to combat them not us. So I say we should use this thread to name them and report them too ebay or anywhere other similar place we see em. I feel very strongly about people making money out of mine and other people's work. Now I know it's never gonna stop these twats but it can't do any harm can it.

Also it's possible some of these thieves are members in our community, so hopefully seeing this will deter them too.

Here are the 3 I've found today

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Winning-Eleve...220657945QQcategoryZ11326QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Winning-eleve...221199394QQcategoryZ11326QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Winning-Eleve...220739578QQcategoryZ11326QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

Now just click on the Site Map, go down to the help section and click on Contact Customer Support.

Then select "Report Banned item, then copyright, then unauthorised copies of videogames."

click on continue and then on email under Contact Support

and email them the following item numbers:

8220657945, 8221199394, 8220739578

I've done it and will continue to aswell, don't let these bastards get away with it. It only takes a couple of mins to report them.

So if anyone else finds them post them in here so we can all do our bit to stop em.

Thanks

Matt

actually heres the direct translation.....word for word......it isnt as sensational or secret as it seems.....but just to elaborate on what fernando stated....

japanese:
All Your Soccer Game Are Belong To WE.

english:
All Your Soccer Game Are Belong To WE. the first sentence is a joke with a message. edited/restructured copies of winning eleven the game has been posted and sold on ebay/auction sites by middle men who dont care about the game. although its great to see passion in those who seek no profit from the game....but when the work begins to be sold .....we must encrypt our work as this is not what it was intended for.

there...explained/translated in english for you.... :) not too sensational......just a msg to stop selling we/pes....a copyright notice with a joke basically.......and yes theyve known about our community for years now...and they seem to enjoy it really..and appreciate it...they just dont approve of their work and editors work being sold :)

So now we know why they encrypt the game and make it harder to patch.

That is hilarious! Nice to see Seabass & co. have a sense of humor. Hopefully with future WE's, they can release official patches (isn't online content supposed to be the future?...-_-) and make the money for themselves.

I truly support the game & I bought original!! Never 1 time I've played the patched version. I'm from SE Asia & the patching scene is terrible New WE patched version is made every few months.... like WE8 there is already 10-15 patched version & before WE9 came out some vender are actually selling WE8 patch with WE9 title.... & some fools actually bought it thinking its WE9

Its so sad this is happening... & in my country, the actual sales of WE9 original is only 100-200 pieces & many shops have ex stock which nobody wants!! Fernando's patch are selling like hot cakes grossing 200-300 pieces a month...(Fernando mayb you wanna get some licenses fee heh...)

I hope this time round PES 5 will be server play instead of IP vs cos this way it will force players to buy original to play online.

IF YOU LIKE THE GAME SPENT SOME $$ & BUY THE ORIGINAL

All Your Soccer Game Are Belong To WE.

Ha ha! Nice one SEABASS.

The patches just show the incredible love we have for Pro Evo and its makers.

That Ebay thing is not right though. They shouldn't be able to sell them.

Mates..mates..mates. Those ppl on E-bay are all amatuers. As Greyfoxmgs said, here in SE Asia patced games are sold by the truckload.

Often those are the only copies available. Bonafide retailers (except the very big ones) dont stock orig games simply because they wont sell. For example, WE9 released on Aug 4. Pirated copies available on market as early as Aug 1.

I'm sure I'll start seeing copies of PES5 in circulation as early as the 15 Oct.

A pirated copy of a patched version (i.e Fernando V5) will usually be available 1-2 weeks after the patch release.

So complaining to e-bay, IMO is just barking up the wrong tree, as there are much bigger fish out there with well organised international distribution networks.

Cheers.

I might have an idea for Konami.. In the next game they could simply offer the patchmakers to buy the tools to decrypt the game, and then be able to patch the game.. Then they would get the name and the adress of the modmaker, and if the maker tried to sell the patches, Konami could go to the court..

Konami shouldnt have encrypted it at all. Theft is nothing Konami can control. As we all know about the great Windows XP. M$'s, "it will never get pirated" OS.

Patching To Sell

Hi, :)
Whilst I'm all for people putting hours of work in to change the kits and edit aspects of the game I ain't for patching to sell.

I understand theres people out there that see this as a quick money making scheme.. its exactly the same problem that record labels have.. if you sit at home and start doing your own mix tapes for your own entertainment thats fine.. but when someone else copies and sells it then it becomes a problem.

Isn't there some way that patches and option files could be bought over a secure connection with the money going to either the website or konami direct and much like when you purchase something your then bound by copyright not to sell this on? That way e-bay could have a massive hand in stopping the fraud? and by the payment going to the website or konami .. konami are still getting something in return?
Also if Fernando releases a new patch for the benefit of entertainment not proffit (as we know he has done) then when everyone buys the option file from the website it means the website will have the persons details.. full name.. c/c details.. address .. phone number.

The furthest I've gone with editing is buying a maxdrive and downloading an option file. Thats It! But if i had to give my personal details and pay a download fee through paypal then at least if i was caught selling it on ebay i could be done for it!

What do you lot think?
