Good for when you always play as Barca or Madrid like most people online.
Im always Tottenham.
Its not L1. It has to be R2 because when we press L1 and Shoot, its a chip shot...
Trying it out, its both and both work really well as there is little difference. The chip shot (L1) only happens when you're shooting straight 180 degrees from the goal, right? It's L1, but from the right position. Believe me.

Oh, I just thought R2 because you can curl it with normal players (that don't have the card) so I thought the same with mid-range curlersHere's how I see it, just quit training now. Say you're with Villa, a right footed player. If you're facing the goal at 45 degrees, coming from the left side, he will curl the ball like that without even pressing on L1. If you're facing the goal at 90 degrees, then you will need L1 to FORCE a curled shot, otherwise they will just shoot regularly.
From what I've tried so far, pressing R2 just cancels the curled shot. All this applies when shooting from outside the box. Inside the box, you don't need to press on anything, they will always curl it like that.
As Griciu said, L1 adds more ferocious dip and better curlI do these shots with R2. Firts time I heard about doing it with L1
