Whoah. If I'm playing a video game I am hoping to actually play a video game, whereas when I watch a movie I have no desire to interact with what I'm watching. There was about a 15 minute cut scene at the end of Act 1, then I had to save the game, then I had to install some more of the game! then another 10-15 minute cut scene came up. If the cut scenes were somewhat interesting I might not have quite such a problem with it, but they just aren't.

Just custom the shit out of the M4. Scope, Suppressor, Handling, Grenade Launcher. Unbeatable.

Muh. There's too many things I don't like about it.
Fighting alongside the rebels - I know you don't have to, but it seems the best thing to do if you want to adopt a stealth-like approach.
I don't like most the bosses, their back stories or how they look.
How act three turns into a motorbike chase - I was buzzing when it started and I was wearing Young Snake face camo and I had to be all ninja like and follow the rebel. I suppose most people would prefer the change of pace and action, but I was hoping for at least one act where stealth was necessity.
The return to Shadow Moses should have ruled, instead you just have to hide from a bunch of gay robots. It was still good due to nostalgia reasons, but it should have been so much better.
Probably a few more reasons too.
Oh, and I started on Big Boss Hard and my current play-time is just over 11 hours and I haven't skipped a cut-scene or rushed at any point. 5 of those hours at least have been cut-scenes and codec conversations.
How many games have you played? :unsure:
1 and 3 are light years ahead of this, and 2 was probably better too. And that's saying something..

I'd say mgs4 is probably the best game i've played on the ps3..saying that i don't think theres been that many decent exclusive games out on the ps3..

Geez I loved this game. Sure there are cutscenes aplenty but that's MGS. To each their own I suppose.

It already is platinum. Don't waste your money anyway Dale. Buy Quantum of Solace or something instead.
I agree.
I also have to agree with Dan regarding the boss fights. I don't really like the Beauty & the Beast crew. IMO, MGS1 had the best boss fights.

The Beauty and the Beasts didn't really have much personalities. After you fought them Drebin tried to give them a little back story to add to their personality but it is too little too late. Still good game.

Boss battles didn't get better than the sniper/nikita battle against Sniper Wolf in MGS1, that was an absolute classic.
At how bad it was? True.

I need some help here. I've just picked up the game again for the first time in 6 months and it appears I was in the middle of a mission. Trouble is, I have no idea what I'm meant to be doing. The info I can give is that I am in Eastern Europe Midtown S Sector, not too far from a big flashing orange thing on the map labelled resistance. There are roadblocks at all the exits in this area it seems and it's guarded quite heavily. Any help would be very much appreciated.
