my ps2 wont read my pes3 demo disk

can anybody help? it loaded first time and the crashed when it was loading the match and now it doesn't even load at all, and when i go to browser it says "disc read error"

Try some of this advice from evo-web:

"i ave a solution, put the ps2 on its side and press restart with the game in, go onto the memory card screen, it should then say DRE then press eject....then eject again but dont reset, now should work! Works nearly every time! With it flat, dont work at all"

cheers Zy, u wouldnt believe the luck i hav had in the past week, my new pad has broke, my other pad has broke, my ps2 is dodgy and all i want to do is play the demo

Mines' exactly the same...I'm raging....this may sound mad but turning your PS2 upside down draws the lense closer,for better reading

My demo didn't work either, so I stood the machine up vertically and it works every time. :)

I had a disc read error too but when I removed my memory card it worked fine. I don't know why they made Owen captain when Becks is playing?

Owen is captain in the PES3 beta version too. Maybe that was the last England game they saw when making the game..... but I thought they would have made Beckham captain since the Japanese people love him so much.

My demo disk makes the PS2 make loud noises. Is this just happening to me?

The full version of the game won't have problems like these, have faith!

I aint had no problems with mine lads. Mines one of the latest models and unmodded to. The funny noises occur but the disc read error hasnt come up at all. It must be a problem with the disc.

I find if i turn diagnoses on and the mapping to smooth etc, it tends to be quieter.

My pS2 wouldn't read my demo either. I used a disk cleaner CD thing and it works great now. Before it used to always go to the browser when i restarted, now it just lods up the game straight away!
