No compatability with XP x64?!

I'm trying to install the game on Windows XP x64 version, and it's telling me the Operating System is not compatible.

Surely this game hasn't been designed with 64 bit operating systems out of mind! That would be ridiculous!

DigitalTwisted to the rescue........

I had the same problem what you have to do is:

1. Copy all of the stuff from the game disk, to somewhere on your hard drive.

2. Search google for a Microsoft program called "Orca". It is a .msi (installer) editor.

3. When you get orca, open up the msi file on your hard drive, click transform, new transform. This makes it editable.

4. Right click on the entry "LaunchCondition" and select drop table.

5. Then save the file. You MUST save the file with the same name as the original. Obviously call it the same name with like a 1 at the end then delete the original and remove the 1.

6. Install from here with no O/S check.

7. Once installed you can remove the stuff you copied to your hard drive and play with the game disk as normal.

Copy of PES2008 installed on XP 64......DONE!

Don i know but it was fine on XP with 4gb.

I had to restrict it to 3.0 gb in msconfig to get it working in Vista.

But I've got 4GB and if I log into XP (I'm in Vista at the moment), it only registers 3.25GB therefore not utilising the remaining 750MB.

The only issue I had similar to yours was with my sound drivers which, until I applied a special patch, simply wouldn't work with 4GB of RAM in Vista. Everything is fine now though.
