I don't know if you have noticed any of the little details yet, but here are a few I have noticed:

- When a defender runs out of defence past the halfway line one of the midfielders will drop back to cover.
- Wingers switch sides
- Players who get hit in head with a hard shot who weren't expecting it fly down, looks hillarious, but real, little guy even stayed down for a while in pain, still held his leg tho :\
- Fans boo if a player is injured and you don't play ball out.

nothing major, but some little touches I think are nice.

Waiting....
Has anyone notice the commands being screamed? I'm not sure if it's supposed to be by fans or manager or players, but there was moment when I slid in for a tackle and completely missed the ball and the player. While my player was on the floor, I heard someone frantically scream "GET UP!". I'm not sure if it was aimed at me or the player I missed - telling the player in possession to take advantage of my misjudgement and attack - but I think that was a pretty cool addition.

I also like the other little animations from players off the ball. If you get greedy in front of goal and miss, when it would've been better to square it to your strike partner to tap in a simple goal, you would see your strike partner throw his hand in frustration. Also, I like players calling for the ball.

I've read people complain about the lack of animation in the players, but I think it's been improved a fair bit.

I have heard some people Moaning about how "the Tricks where switched to the Left Stick" -and- How when they where just trying to Turn, the player ended up doing some Unexpected Trick -and- ultimately loosing Possession.

I haven't played the demo yet, so I don't know anything about this.. But has the Trick Controls on the Left Stick "fixed" the annoying Cut Backs?? I mean, if you can no longer turn or cutback -without- the player doing a 360ª spin.. Does it mean that Cut Back Goals will not happen as often?

Any comments on this are appreciated..

Animations in PES demo are rigid. i hope thats fixed too. actually, im confident that will be fixed.

sorry to burst your bubble, but the animations won't be fixed, if Konami didn't fix them in the last 11 months, there is no way they will do so in the 2 weeks between the demo and retail version.

they will most likely bring out regular updates

Cant stand it.... Horrible refereeing desicions again. Offside desicions are still blatenley awful. Probably one of the things that annoys me about the game. How hard is it to get consistant desicions? I knock a player and give a foul away, yet up the other end the same thing happens to me and nothing. Bull**** in my opinion.

Whether i will get it or not is a different thing. I bought FIFA 09 and the gameplay to that is so much better and smoother to PES. Much prefer FIFA this year.

Because they are rigid.

For example, the animation from jogging to sprinting for many players is not very fluent i.e. realistic.

i want pes 2009 so bad.

i just hope its difficult and xbox 360 can patch up.

i just played fifa 2009 again and its good but uh... response times piss me off compared to PES superesponse times from previous PES games. :/ its sad for fifa cos their response times are really good... just not PES good.

Oh no. I think I'm falling for FIFA.

Only thing in the FIFA demo that's bugging me is the fact that you don't really feel like you're playing against Sneijder, Raul, Robben, etc. In PES they're so well modelled and you can tell whose who instantly, even by the way they run.

If you were in my boots Zoo would you buy an xbox or PS3?

I have a Wii (which is ace) but with the UFC game getting released soon I'll be needing a top up, I'd also be interested to to know if PES is any better on console this year as to on the PC if anyone has played both demos?

I've a PS3 and that's what I'd go for if you got the money. If it's only to play one or two games, then the Xbox is cheaper and a decent online experience.

However, PS3 games are much more fluid and have a better feel. Also, the Blu-Ray aspect of it helps, meaning that soon games will be massive on the PS3 (as Blu-Ray will be able to hold up to 25 times the data a DVD can).

In conclusion - for a cheap thrill, get the Xbox. For a long term and reliable girlfriend, choose the PS3.

Stick to the PC version, you won't be seeing this in the PS3 version.
