well my review after a week, eventhough i have been playin exhibitions and training only. I have just started ML today and chose astonvilla, the original team, and defeated PSG 3-0 great stuff, i have not faced any slowdowns or whatever stuttering anyone mentioned. The game is friggin fantastico and the classiest i have ever played. The nets physics did axually change, unlike what others said. The emblem, flag and sponsor editing is superb, no more patching for me! i haven't played much games coz i spent most of the time translating team, player, league and Stadium names, even done a couple of sponsor editing myself I read people can barely score from headers.... well, i scored TWO out of three goals in my first ML game! everything is amazing, even the FK's. Speed difference have been improved, skills definitely improved too. The defence CAN catch up only IF they were fast enough or your player is slow. This is just the most realistic footy game i have EVER played! I wish i can help with posting pics and videos but i dont have the right hardware for that. Believe me, PES4 is worth the waiting You might not like the 1st game u play, but then, it gets much much better after that and you'd be just "in too deep"!

Hey, Lami, you were saying about no stutters...
I remember the chaos there was when PES3 was released and people complaining about GK Shakes. I didnt get any of those until very recently. It could just be to do with the batch of discs released(same thing happened when PS2 was released, some were called back)

My point is that some people may not get any slowdown or stutters at all.

P.S. PES4 is going to be class!

P.S.S. You're right, no more patching! Im all excited, kinda like the way you were when you were a kid and it was Xmas Eve!

you can notice slowdown when there are many players in and around the box its no big deal really. just shouldnt be in a realeased game

unbelievable.... whoever said or says this game is hard/difficult to score must be insane i just started Euro cup as Latvia, opening game, i thrashed Croatia 7-1!! Croatia's goal is a pk btw. I don't understand... are we playing the sam game here?? i mean... Latvia scoring 7! and alot sayin they can hardly score, 4 of my goals are headers! off to my 2nd game even one of my defenders scored lol.

EDIT: i forgot to mention that im using 3 stars difficulty, now im switchin to 4 stars, hoping its harder

could somebody help with the badge editor and the sponsor editor please........
when you go into kitk mode and it says 'Mark 1' and 'Mark2' this is where you create your own logo but everytime i make a good one ...the background colour is different from the colour of the strip its so frustrating because i made a great Nike and Umbro sign yet i cant use it because it looks pathetic because the strip is a different colour !
and what i want 2 know is if you can make the background transparent ?

help would be much appreciated

The game arrived ta 10.30am and I've been playing it ever since. The 99.9% option file is great and makes things easier.

Right, Impressions I suppose.

Firstly, I'm finding it really hard on 5* to create any chances even as a a decent team like Barcelona or Arsenal. The passing is really cool and the new "search" pass works really well in the right situations. Shooting from distance is hard and most of my goals have been from headers or by simply rolling the ball in. I've managed to chip the goalie a few times but I'm finding that difficult too

The edit mode is fairly easy to get around, but then I have some experience from editing WE6:FE on Gamecube and I managed to change Aston Villa's names fairly easily before I downloaded the Option File. Not tried any transfers yet thoughas I'm a little aprehensive of messing things up.

I've not even attempted to try any tricks yet as I'm trying to get the basics right first. After seeing some of the goals that Dannyboy's scored I really need to get my skates on.

I don't like the strange lighting in night games, it looks like every player has a white bald spot that keeps moving around their heads. Also, I have noticed a little slowdown on corners but not so much as it's unplayable.

Overall, I'm happy with my investment as I doubt I'll go back to PES3 now before PES4 is released.

I'll post more when the Missus has finished watching Eastenders

DavieTelfer, it is possible to make it transparent as far as i know. I'm sure someone said it on the forum. I dont know how to do it, as i dont have the game!

Hope a weeeeeeee bit of help, helps! (If that makes any sense)

I've got the feeling that there is a difference between the pitches, one pitch is faster then the other and the same I have with the different kind of balls. It seems that the balls have different weights and behave different on the pitch
Do you have the same or is it my brain overloaded of playing to many hours WE8

And I love the way they make the pitch with rain, the splashing of your feet and the ball is great and realistic

yes your correct, different stadiums and balls, make a difference in gameplay.

Haven´t noticed any differences after playing a whole season. Maybe it´s only me, dunno.
Bernabeu and Mestalla aren´t in the stadium, there were only unconfirmed rumours about it.

Just noticed something else last night...

Was playing against Argentina, and Veron fired in a shot from the edge of the box, which Crespo, standing on the goal line, controlled and flicked between his legs into the net. I was sure I had heard the referee's whistle for offside, but the score flashed up and Crespo wheeled away celebrating with the rest of his teammates. Suddenly, Crespo's face drops as he sees the linesman's flag, and all the Argies look bewildered. It cuts back to me, I take an early free kick and launch a counter attack!

How cool is that!?
