Online cheatering problem, what can we do?

This has happened to me a few times now:

When I'm leading a match, say 2-0 or 3-0, as soon as I score my 2nd or 3rd goal, I see a "connection lost." I know it's not my connection that is the problem. The last time this happened, I scored my 3rd goal, the opposition passed the ball back to his goalkeeper after kick-off, did some tricks and pulled the plug! Grrrrrr...

Although you are awarded a 3-0 victory automatically, you are not awarded the points that go towards your ranking.

There are players who purposely pull the plug when in a losing situation. I hate this and I was wondering if this happens to other people?

There are a lot of twats playing online. If they aren't always using Brazil and AC Milan, they abuse you and if you are winning they quit.

To find people who are more human (and also willing to play with lesser teams), play against other forum players in server 03 03.

I had a match last night against a guy that was hovering over Peru until I chose England before he quickly swiped Brazil. No worries really just unnecessary.


I was al over him in the first half and I scored 2 without letting one in. The second half started fine and again I was the better player. Then, all of a sudden, he must have turned his computer on or somehow created so much lag that I couldn't even move my players. I was powerless. My players moved 2 metres at a time with a seconds pause in between.

Guess what happened? He scored three 'pull back' goals and beat me. Frustrating is not the word.

Frustration is a killer but I would never disconnect on purpose (unless the freeze bug kicks in). I remember I got pretty pissed off when some guy scored 3 goals in the first 5 minutes of the game and I just gave up and gifted him goals the rest of the match. Even scored a few own goals at the end to make it a 10-1 defeat. I ended up having to apologize for throwing the game but at least I didn't disconnect.

Things like that are the reason i don't bother playing pro anymore. I would be winning, then on their host it would lag like @*$% (at half time when i'd ask, they would tell me it didn't lag at all on my host) and i'd have no control over my players.

Whether they would lag purposely or not, the same thing would happen again and again. They (my opposition) would get two perfectly decent halves, whereas i'd get only one, leaving me annoyed and frustrated.

Another thing is that because i am so highly ranked, 90% of people i'd play would hack me down continuously; even when i'd be through on goal, risking a red card which they hardly got. It would get ridiculous at times. I'd get the ball, anywhere, and down i go, just so i couldn't build up an attack! Because of this, the fun aspect has gone, completely.

So now, i play Battlefield 2. No lag whatsoever, no cheats, just plain fun, shooting and killing people

I'll come back to pro in a couple of months when less people are playing, and my rank has drastically declined.

People hate me to because it happens to me a lot and i know it's something with my connection but i can't find the problem.
I have about 70 connection failed and not doing it on purpose maybe more people have this problem so if you all stop hating and help me find a solution to fix this problem i think it's my router.

Maybe you need to post the name/number of your router. Otherwise no-one will know anything.

ive had a connection lost sign come up when ive been winning and i know its not my connection, and subsequently i have lost the game 3-0! Thats the worst, only happened a few times, its seldom

I've only had one lost connection against someone, and it must have been an accident because they were 2-0 up! I sure can pick 'em.

In what i've experienced online is that it are the people who make the game, and break the game. It shoud be no problem when someone lose his connection if it aint there fault. But there are so many people disconnecting because they're losing, because of that you get pissed everytime someone disconnect. Same with lag. Some people really can't help that they are lagging, but so many people are lagging. And there are many many people swearing and hacking in game. But i also had some great matches online.
Just make the best of it. Don't let the bad guys win

I still whooped his ass and during the 3rd goal replay.... blah blah has left the room :|

the prob with the game online for me is that nearly all players div 3a and up play exactly the same way. same formation same teams same moves. i am first to admit im not that good, and when i first started playin was buzzin just havin an online game. i lost a lot more than i won but then i noticed i was conceding the same type of goals all the time. even if they 5-0 up they still continue to do it. so i started to hack em whenever i could just to try and do their heads in. this went on for a week then i flogged my new ps2. i only bought it to play my fav game of all time online. and just like nearly every other good online game it gets ruined by nobs. sad but true.........

i wish id read that you all play in server 3 3 before i flogged it lol.

Most people play 3 wide forwards and just go down the wing and do the dirt cut back goals, no skill needed what so ever.

PES5 is certainly alot less fun to play than 3 or 4 IMO, the way it has been made makes you play more down the wing and the games are alot more scripted than ever before

I go down the wings but always endeavor to either send in a cross on have a long shot on the angle. However, as soon as my opponent does a dirty cut back against me, then it is open season and I will do as many as I can

If you dont like people going down the wings all the time, strick your full backs out wide and man mark his wingers.

You cant have it both ways. You cant have loads of attacking players in your team and moan that you have no defenders to stop people scoring! Use the old grey matter and adjust your formation. If that fails just foul the hell out of them!
