I,ve been waiting 2 weeks for WE9 and its still not here. Ordered from play asia an i'm already raging! If that bastard posty comes to my door demanding £20 for customs there may be trouble! :realmad:

I've been waiting 10 days for mine, damn I got cheap and paid for the airmail.....ugh I should've just paid the Express shipping...waiting to play this game is really killing me...

It is "real" as in it is a patched game. I would advise you not to buy it. You can easily patch your own original for the price of a DVD-R or CDR.

Yes Zyg... but you need your own original first which would cost you in excess of £30. This guy is (apparently) selling an 'original' (judging by the photos) patched version for £8.99. I'd love to know where the catch is.
Whats the betting you receive a maxell blank DVD with 'Wining Elevon nine' written on it in marker pen and a badly photocopied case!

Who's gonna be the first to try it?

The photos are of the cover of the game and can be easily made by anyone. And if he puts some effort into it, he could burn the patched copy onto a blank disk and print the real we9 cover onto the disk.

And you never know, it could be someone trying to catch out games pirates so is it worth getting arrested over? I would advise you not to buy these copies from ebay as you can never tell. And if you do want to do ahead with it, then do not mention it here.

Fernando has not released a 100% translation patch. Does anyone want to buy a partially translated game?

I agree in principle but, if you are buying it in good faith then surely they cannot do you for pirating. The guy is advertising the game as 'brand new and sealed' and so I don't see how you could be collared for buying one. I agree that it sounds dodgy because of the price, and the fact that it is, supposedly, fully patched. I am intrigued as to what you would actually get if you bought one.

I dont have a dvd writer and would like the patched game, I can prove I have the original game with a picture if someone could send me a copy, I will of course pay the price of the dvd and postage, if anyone can help me out please pm me, thanks.

I appreaciate the advice but its more than I can afford, the game itself must have come to 70 quid'ish with the customs charge on, just need it for this game at the moment, as I said I can provide proof I have the original.

Yes, mine came this morning... No customs charges (bonus) so the game cost me £33.

I get the impression that the customs charges are hit and miss. You might get caught for them or you might not... I didn't and I've now got the game in my sweaty palm.

So, a full day at work and then I shall try and squeeze in a game later because I'm going out.
