PES 2009 Gameplay Video

I was as disgusted as the next man with PES 2008, but it's pretty clear that PES has the better player models by quite a margin. The players in FIFA look completely disproportionate, with every player looking unrealistic. The stadium graphics in FIFA are certainly better, no question about that but it really bothers me the fact that EA are unable to create realistic-looking players. As for "2nd rate ball physics" in PES, I honestly find that laughable, I thought it was known worldwide that PES has far greater ball physics. I played on FIFA a few months ago against a friend, and we were honestly baffled with the ball physics. The ball seemed to refuse to go out of play, the bounce of the ball was totally unrealistic. I just hope they're able to sort these problems out for FIFA 09. Any improvement in the FIFA series will only motivate Konami more in developing the PES series, so it works out best for both parties.

in pes, the ball doesnt bounce realistically. I am frankly gobsmacked that you think pes ball physics are better! In fifa 08, the ball bounces accordingly. Ahh, there's so much wrong with your post, I dont know where to start.

well the balls a free entity in PES wheras FIFA it seems to attach to the player. the only thing about the ball physics FIFA has over PES is deflections, they look 10X better and more realistic on FIFA, THAT IS IT

sorry but the ball is as free as it can be in fifa. Are you talking about fifa pre 2008 and not on next gen because then you are right, but fifa 08 on ps3 is something different. You probably havent played it.

Well I have played both, PES definitely has the better ball physics. Shots in PES are unpredictable, which is just like real life. Although you might think your going to ping it into the top right hand corner, that doesn't always happen. This is true in PES because its realistic and they take a lot of factors into consideration.

Also, I have been playing a lot of FIFA recently to really find the differences and the ball physics/shooting doesn't compare to PES. Though, I am sure this will be improved for 09, but they have a lot of ground to make up in that department.
