evo 5 is nothing like evo 4 u have to approach the game in a different way. Take ur time and pass the ball about (1 touch football mainly) and try using the 3-5-2 formation with counter attack on.

Konami haven't been fucked up by this defensive bollocks have they?

So Arsenal aren't realistic but Chelsea et al are?

Please tell me this isn't true!

well the new game does ease u to pass the ball more instead of running through teams but i wouldnt say u have to play defensive

It is like djdannyben said. you just have to play different than in previous versions. I seem to get a grip on the game now after mastering a few little things. The game is more and more reaching the level of a real football match.

You really have to have patience and build up your game. don't try to hard to score. Pass the ball around and constantly look for the free player. Talking about passing, this is made more difficult in PES 5. You first have to controll the pass before you can pass it on to a teammate. The one touch pass is more difficult and only the skilled ontouch players perform a perfect ontouch pass all the time (well not all the time).

Their are two new ways in controlling a ball after a pass. See the training menu for mastering them.. :)

It is a bit harder, which is good. If it's too hard, just lower the difficulty. PES4 sucked as after I got too used to it, I had to pick a very weak team to have fun against an all star team. But on this game it's fairly even when I play as a top club vs top club.

i had the same experience as kingersalad had.. i can finally play two top teams, and not thrash them, but be competitive.. as my first match went to a penalty shootout.. i enjoyed the game.. harder makes it better for us.

quite right, it makes it a better game because you can't just run straight through the other team it makes it more like REAL football, u don't see one player running through the other team (except ronaldinho:tongue:

I have the demo and i must say im finding it harder to score with the short amount of time, but i wouldnt really say its harder to defend just harder to score goals.
