I've been playing the demo for the last couple of weeks and so far feel, like the majority of other players, that it is far superior than PES4. I love the dinks and rebounds, the little passing inaccuracies which make the game feel far more authentic. The increase in fouls doesn't really bother me that much to be honest, your average real life football match contains a shed load. There is slightly more curve on the ball which can result in some fantastic goals and creative play. Overall I am very impressed and can't wait for the release of the PC version.
I do feel that the game has some faults though which annoy me slightly. I don't know if this has previously been mentioned by another poster, but one thing that irritates me is the goalkeepers handing when saving freekicks. Watch the goalkeeper carefully on replay when he makes a save on his line. He dives, saves the ball on the line, and if you watch carefully when he is picking the ball up he is holding it over the line. I know its petty, but now that I have seen it a couple of times its always there.
I feel that there is slightly too much power in the headers aswell. I've scored a couple of headers on the edge of the box with Henry that hit the floor with so much power that they bounce over the keeper and go in. I've done the same with a couple of other players. Just doesn't seem overly realistic.
It would be nice aswell if the offsides weren't so strict. Every linesman makes a mistake here and there in real life yet even if your only a whisker offside in PES5 you'll get called on it.
In future releases I'd like to see the ref and linesman actually make a mistake here and there. I'm sure Konami can program something into the game where only 8 out of 10 offsides are called. I'd also like to see a bit of shirt pulling.
Just some of my thoughts on the game anyway
