Group 3 result:
JUVENTUS (fordfocus) 2-2 CELTIC (cobe)
Goalscorers: Trezeguet 35, Cameronesi 79, Larson 2, 6
Bookings: Pessotto, Davids (Yellows)

Larsson gave Celtic an early lead on just 2 mins and soon made it 2-0 4 mins later. Trezeguet got a goal back for Juve in the 35th minute, diving onto an excellent Nedved cross. Larsson very nearly got his hatrick on 49 mins when he saw his effort come back off the post. A covering defender almost ran the ball into his own net as the ball rebounded off the woodwork. Cameronesi equalised with a goal not disimilar to Juve's first, a diving header from Cameronesi when it seemed easier to side foot the ball in. Juve almost got a dramatic late winner when Del Piero's free kick missed by inches. An entertaining match.

Group 3 result:
BARCELONA (markony) 3-3 NEWCASTLE (MarkyP)
Goalscorers: Bellamy 21, 34, Dyer 55, Kluivert 32, 74, 80

The second entertaining goal feast of the night, a lot to report...
Bellamy latched onto Robert's through ball on 21 mins to give the toon the lead. 10 minutes later though, Kluivert thumped home a header from a Luis Enrique cross. Bellamy restored Newcastle's lead on 34 mins, scoring a rare header from a corner. 10 minutes into the 2nd half Dyer made it 3-1 with a pelter rising high into the top corner from the edge of the box, great strike. Kluivert gave Barca hope on 74 mins with another headed goal before equalising on 80 mins with a low shot going in off the post. A very eventful match, the late Kluivert show maybe a bit harsh on Newcastle who played well enough to deserve the win. If it wasn't for Kluivert's two late efforts, Barca would find themselves pointless going into the final group game.

Very well described Paul! :) :) Newcastle seem to be good don't they. That is twice I've drawn but really should have won. Probably realistic with Newcastle's defence!! :D

Group 4 results:
MUNICH (brova) 1-0 PARMA (CPU)
Goalscorer: Pizarro 70

Munich slightly shaded this game and deserved the three points. The goal came on 70 mins courtesy of Pizarro who calmly slotted the ball under the keeper.

PSG (CPU) 4-0 RANGERS (Col_gers)
Goalscorers: Pauleta 23, 30, 73, Diawara 43

PSG gave Rangers a lesson in finishing as they cruised to victory without dominating the game. Pauleta gave the French side the lead on 23 mins when he scored with a neat strike from just outside the box. Pauleta bagged another 7 minutes later before Diawara made it 3-0 just before half time. Pauleta sealed his hatrick on 73 mins with a rocket that flew into the top corner. A suprisingly even game given the scoreline. It just came down to good finishing by PSG as both sides had equal amounts of chances.

I've planned this all along but haven't announced it until now...
I'm sure you will all be 'excited' to learn that I will be running a goal of the tournament competition. Credit must go to jackass who thought up the idea in the 'PES Insight World Cup' thread. There are 3 contenders already. If anybody has the required equipment to capture these goals and are willing to help me out please contact me at [email protected]. If I'm unable to capture the goals I will make the goals available for download for those of you with X-Ports.
Thanks :)

INTER (101st) 0-0 LIVERPOOL (Craig David)
Bookings: Hamann (Yellow)

Inter without the suspended Vieri earned a draw against Liverpool and find themselves on just one point going into the final round of group game. Liverpool dominated the first half in which they should have taken the lead. Early in the second half, Kewell had a great chance to open the scoring but fired wide. Inter came back into the match in the second half and the game ended up being a pretty even affair.

DEPORTIVO (Wainy) 1-2 ARSENAL (PicturePerfect)
Goalscorers: Wiltord 14, Henry 70, Tristan 33

Sylvain Wiltord gave Arsenal the lead on 14 mins after Henry's through ball. Diego Tristan levelled the match 20 minutes later with a thumping header that Lehmann couldn't quite keep out. Arsenal's winner came on 70 mins when Henry struck from 12 yards. Even match in terms of possession, Arsenal created the more chances and came away with the win.

The GOTT's current contenders will be announced later this afternoon.

Ruud Van Nistelrooy (MAN UTD vs Real Madrid) - RVN slots the ball past Casillas after a neat 1-2 with Ronaldo.

David Trezeguet (JUVENTUS vs Barcelona) - The Frenchman fires the ball into the net after twisting and turning just outside the area.

Harry Kewell (LIVERPOOL vs Arsenal) - Kewell fires a low shot into the corner of the net from outside the box.

Adrian Mutu (CHELSEA vs Roma) - Mutu dispatches an injury time free kick into the net to win a point for Chelsea.

I'd like to check out the goals through X-Port. When you can, attach the files in this thread. Thanks.

Firstly, your final group game will be played tomorrow jag.

Zyg and all, I won't be putting up the goals till the end of the tournament so I can set up a poll for us all to vote for our faves. I would like the goals captured if possible. I know that by downloading them to your memory card gives you a better view of things, but on the other hand, not everbody has an X-Port so there will be a limit to how many people can view and vote for the goals. Ideally, I would like to give people the option to view it via X-Port or a media player. So, once again, if anyone is capable of capturing the goals, please contact me.
Cheers!
