What is your favourite riot game on any console? There are 5 choices in the poll, if you choose other please reply saying what game, I own all 5 of these games and in my opinion Grand Theft Auto San Andreas is the best followed by Urban Chaos (just bought). These are riot games not shoot em up or Action but games where the majority of the gameplay is in the streets of cities/towns (with the exception of GRAW - does not count)

I have owned GTA and State Of Emergency...the latter is the biggest dissapointment ever.

What does True Crime do that GTA does not do a million times better? What were the developers thinking.

"I know, lets release a game, and we know it won't be a world beater, but if we can find an untapped market it could be huge. Ok, so lets emulate in every way the most successful game in all of gaming history in every single way. And because we are appealing to the Tim Henman market of losers who don't want the best game but the sub par one, we better have some sort of gimmick. Like it's location, how about Urban OOOHHHH OOOOOOOHHHHHHH great idea, and it can be driving and shooing. Perfect. So if you are a loser who does not want the best, but the second place, silver medal then buy this game. It is Urban and no one has done that before"

Yes they have morons, get real there are so many urban games that don't want to challenge GTA but get that second place. True Crime didn't try to break away from the tired genre of urban shoot 'n' drives. Maybe if they set it in the 60s and cut the price to £20 and gave it some giant online multiplayer and a 12 rating, then it would give me reason to buy it. I can't directly compare GTA to True Crime, TC will never win. TC has to tempt me into buying it over all the other urban games and as a side game to GTA. The online would do this, it would have a bigger audience with the 12 rating. That way everyone who hears about GTA but are under 18 and don't have it bought for them will flock to buy TC.

The Warriors on the PS2/XBox. Excellent. Namely the level where you have to get the rest of the Warriors and get away/battle against Police who just keep coming & coming. A great game, In my opinion...

... The Blackout level is another gooden and everytime you meet a rival gang it turns into mayhem. Not to mention that when you go out and soldier, you can beat up anyone in the game, uncluding your own boys.

State of emergency was repetitive as sin and left me crying in sheer pain and boredom after only 5 minutes. Truly a disgusting and quite frankly wank piece of gameness.

God mate that's a tough one - I like the second Orphan one with all the cops, the riot level, the train tagging one, the Hi-Hat levels and probably the Boppers in Harlem. All are great though, the game's vitrually flawless (apart from that you should be able to get a train from Coney and free-roam to all the other gangs territories via the subway, then it would be truly flawless)

Aye. My brother and myself are playing it now. The free roam level is very small and It wouldve been truely flawless if you could go into rival territory with no permits, no parley ;)

I forgot about the Tagging level, that was excellent, can be a bastard when you go too far off the lines when doing the 'W' and it goes slow and it wastes some spray. The level(s) where you have to make it past the Turnbulls and all that is excellent. I hear the new film is based on this game, more so than the actually film from the 70's... More violence and maybe Cleon can be in it for more than 15 minutes...

Have you passed the Warriors arcade game in the hideout that appears after the game?

GTA San Andreas was very good. Shooting the shit out of people and stealing cars and blowing stuff up. Genius.

Good game and it is rioting in the streets, then again I didn't add Freedom Fighters which is also a good shooting game and 25 to Life (not so good)

:ninja:

NEW - Added 18/07/2006 - 10:15 - Hitman: Blood Money or Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory what would you buy? Thinking of getting one of them and if not what "Shoot em up" / Action" game do you suggest I should buy?

I voted for gta but I completely forgot about the warriors one of the best levels is where you are getting chased home by the police after a massive riot in the streets and you end up a the baseball training ground. did any one else do a run and a jump at the fence to say you piss of the gang is an understatement you have an extra 15 plus heads giving you the run for you'r life excellent game and with multi player you can play for hours.
