Please help !!

Hello there everyone,

This is my first post, so please bear with me, I have treied to read around the forums for an answer, but not seen anything.

I love this game. Or rather, I love this game on the PS2. I bought the game and a gamepad the other day to try and play in on ,y laptop...

2.4 P4
512 ram
40 gb hd - of which about 11 is free
on board video - intel GME (which I think is 64 but not sure)

well it crawls. the players barely move! I have been reading everywhere that there is a doublespeed function. But to unlock that you need 1000 PES. I'd like to try that and see if it helps but I'll never be able to make 1000 PES with the game as it currently is.

Can anyone suggest anything?

All help MASSIVELY appreciated, and a BIG thanks in advance,

John

Well you can get an option file editor and make yourslef to ahve as many points as you like

how will that solve his slowdown??

basically your video board on the laptop cant cut it, and a double speed option wont help either unfortunately.

slowdown

I'm having the same problems as everyone else. I've installed the patch, tried all different ways of approaching this (uninstalling the game, reinstalling the game, applying different patches, etc.)

My PC is a 3.2 GHZ Intel P4 processor with 2GB RAM, .5T of storage and a Radeon 9800 Pro 256mb graphics card. I just reformatted my computer because one of my hard drives crashed and I had to replace it, so I'm up to date with all necessary drivers. There's absolutely NO reason this should be slowing down, but it is. Dunno if anyone thinks they might be able to help? Pretty please?

hardly any. it does stand out when there is slowdown though because youre not used to it on the ps2. i gave up with the pc version because konami made life so difficult playing it without slowdown and are making it so hard to get a copy of the new pes4 demo that im giving up on getting that as well.

I installed the latest windows xp service pack and it helped big time ;)

P.S. Have you tried putting down the detail settings in the game its self that also helps and one last thing you can tey it messing with the Graphics card settings, you might have the them set too high and that WILL effect the slowdown :)

Play up Pompey, Pompey play up!

I'd say your living the dream kid and I doubt you'll get it to run smooth.Gadge has a kick ass PC and he still gets alittle slowndown, so a laptop will have no chance as you need a savage graphics card to pull it off in the first place and even at that there's still the chance of needing even more power to get the game to play at 100% IMO.

P.S. BTW you can forget about the double speed thing as its unplayable and only good for manager like matches where you just want a quick peep on how your boys are doing. ;)

Does the firewall protecting my internet connection affect the speed I play PES4 online?
My internet connection speed is 512kbps but when I host a game, my opponent always says that their game lags a lot.

it can, depending on which one you have and how you have it configured
also depends on how far apart you and the person you are trying to play are as well

I have a sound problem with PES4...

All sounds seem to be delayed, between 5 and 15 seconds. This includes commentary, sound effects, crowd etc and is very off putting. I applied the 1.1 patch, but the problem is still there.

My specs:
AMD Athlon 2000+
512MB RAM
GeForce4 ti4200

Has anyone else had this problem or knows a fix for it? I looked for konami tech support but there doesn't seem to be an email address in the manual, in the readme or on their site. ANy help is greatly appreciated :)

there should be a telephone number or some kind of contact on the konami website, i've emailed them before from there concerning issues with PES3.

have you modified the game at all, or are you having these problems from a clean install?

also what kind of sound card do you have and have you installed the latest drivers for it?

Clean install, got it for Xmas, installed and it had the problem, applied the official patch and the problem remained.

My soundcard is a VIA AC97, and I'm installing the latest drivers as I type, I'll see if it makes a difference :)

EDIT: No, no difference at all with the new drivers :(

This was primarily a PES3 thread so I'm unsticking it, if we continue to have these kinds of issues, we'll start a new PES4 specific thread.
