My gf commented on something yesterday which has stumped me.
I've been madly comparing and contrasting all the PES's over the last two months on all the gaming consoles. Been playing PES2011 PS2, which is good, but for me I have returned to PES6 PS2. Still the ultimate football game.
However, she pointed out something that when I think about it is a little strange. When I'm playing PES2011 (PS3), she said, (and believe me she'd know as she is made to watch endless hours of my gaming) I almost always attack on my left wing (bottom of the screen) when playing from right to left.
And when I play from left to right, almost always I start my attacks at the top of the screen (again my left wing).
HOWEVER -
When I'm playing "that other game" (she had a slap for calling PES6 'that other game'), I play both wings almost equally, perhaps even favouring my RIGHT WING a little more. When I thought about this a little more, it is indeed true.
Is this something to do with the different camera angle, different camera zoom etc, that subconsciously I'm being made to attack a certain way because of what I see on the screen.
I play wide cam on PES6, and play a combination of normal long and wide on PES2011, but even with wide on PES2011, I still tend to play the game a certain way, when in PES6, I play a much more varied build up game that relies on both wings.
Anyway else care to comment on this, or is this just something a little weird? I still think the camera on PES6 is the best, need to bring it back.
