It'll work if the midfield doesn't go walkabout. Not blaming anyone in particular for that, but I just know both midfielders will move forward leaving us fucked at the back.

That's why I suggest Mullet and myself in those roles, as we're happy to do that job and support the attackers. However, the four forwards would need to work hard and press the defence to prevent the opposition starting an attack.

I do that and also drop in when needs be to take responsibility early when launching an attack. We can't do THAT much worse than we have lately...can we?

Exactly, a more attacking version. I was taking your point in a previous post where you mentioned a lot of the top club teams tend to play a lot of forwards and that our strength is in attack, along with Original?'s preference to play as LF rather than LAM. Why not just bomb the opposition (and defend from the front). I also thinking about changing one of the DMs to CM. I had the following line up in mind:

---------------GK---------------
---------Berry----Miggy---------
RWB-------------------------Phat
----------Mullet------------------
-----------------Dragonfly--------
-Fabio--------Sweey-----Original?-
--------------BarnDoor------------

Although, we rarely play with that many on at a time.

*Sniff*

This formation I like a lot and it could definitely prove effective.

Formations made at my end:

4-3-2-1 with RF moved straight to CF (in line with ST)

4-2-4 (4-2-3-1) where RF and LF are in the EXACT same place as the default 4-3-2-1 and CF is ever so slightly behind them. I think you have to move the LAM and RAM six touches inside and nine touches forward or something similar to that. Doesn't take long to make.

I've just come out of three games and Dragonfly, Berry, Alc and I have been utterly destructive. Scored about 20 goals I think - Berry joined after the first game.

Original?, my acceleration and finishing are 90, reactions and sprint speed 85 but with current form, acceleration is 96, reactions 95 and sprint speed 91 - I forgot to tell you on PSN.

I think the guys will agree that my blistering speed in the channels was helping to rip defences apart and allow DF to arrive late in the area while Berry was finding space.

We were using the new 4-3-2-1 which is VERY straightforward to make.

Yeah, I loved playing up front just ahead of you. Set up & scored quite a few

Big thumbs up from me to the formation :) :smug:

The custom 4-3-2-1 was a joy to play with, especially as ANY. I felt that I had sufficient support in defence (aided by good performances from Alchemist in CM) and vast options when trying to pass the ball out from the back. I thought our counter attacking was top notch, with Sweey's new found pace causing untold amounts of damage. Berry and Sweey proved to be a formidable partnership upfront.

The only problem I had was that the LF was playing too deep at times. This won't be much of an issue once someone plays this role, but it could be an idea to give him an attacking arrow for the benefit of whoever plays ANY.

I started off alright tonight, gradually getting worse despite a rare goal. Doesn't matter where I play, I'm going to get dicked on all the time if I don't improve my player.

It's strange how many people out there are obsessed with wearing colourful gloves.

Do me one favour - follow your man.

I twice had to come back in one of the early games at a free-kick to mark the man who had moved away from you and you hadn't followed. I thankfully cleared the ball both times but had I not been there he could have controlled it, turn and shot on goal.

There were also some instances where the opposition were attacking down right wing and you hadn't come inside - you were still wide at right-back not marking the man in the middle. I'm sure it isn't easy defending, just things I noticed that nearly cost us dear.

I'm afraid I won't be online for a week or so, I'm at home for a few days then I have an assessment centre down in Surrey and finally I'm attending a mate's leaving do. Might be online a week today, might not, so good luck in my absence.

Something I noticed tonight was that a CAM is far harder for the opposition to mark than a CF. There was a massive amount of space when I played there earlier, hence time on the ball to craft something. If someone who has good passing stats plays there often as apposed to having a CF it should result in lots more through balls and opportunities for the strikers.

is there anyway we coulld get like 8 of us on, 4 go into room 1, 4 go into room 2 and we play each other ?

the reason to help ppl like me get easy upgrades for my wee guy, esp sliding and dribbling. I'm at 34% overall but i think ive basically unlucked all the easy stuff

i like playing dfm as it helps my all round game and i don't need to be a box to box player. When me and alchemist were the 2 dfms, i liked how when 1 would go forward, the other would sit back. in future tho alc, always bomb forward, i'll always stay back as you're more deadly at killer threw balls/shooting

Sweey, anytime you k.o, how come you didn't simply pass back to me, then i'd pass to alc, by that time you'd be in a forward position, alc would pass to the winger and an attack would be on

i thought we lost it on the wings last night, normally we get the ball outwide as soon poss and build an attack from there.

i'll defo be on for a few about half 9 if theres not any others with more stripes on by then

Because the one time I did, Phats had to tackle you to get the ball.

We can't play each other - we're one club.

Mullet, you and Alc as DMs together were atrocious. Phats couldn't have stopped half the goals he conceded because you were both nowhere to be seen and left him totally exposed.

Yeah, it would've helped if one of you played as a sweeper or a 5th defender when the opposition are attacking, or just watch out for anyone making a run toward the box and keep track of him. Basically, drop a little deeper.

I thought I did alright as DM - until I lost my man in midfield and he was eventually found by a winger and scored.

Sake.
