I was close to throwing my controller in frustration last night; we were fucking poor. The 2-1 defeat with the last minute goal from those little kids was the hardest to take. 4 straight defeats then a win because the other team disconnected with 3 minutes to go (it was 1-1 at the time.) I'm not sure where it went wrong as I seemed to be scoring a decent amount of goals as LS. Perhaps it was lag as I know Sweey was feeling it but my connection seemed fine.

You weren't playing on ANY? That's one reason you guys were struggling, it's almost a shame for you that you're the best at ANY! What formation are we playing at the moment?

I was ANY for 2 games I think, the first was a 6-2 loss - 2 of their goals were 40 yard free-kicks :faceplm: That was after we were on an 11 game unbeaten run and I hadn't played in the last 7 or 8 games of the run so whoever was ANY at that point can't be too bad. Jonno and Barn played ANY as well. We played 4312 and 4321 and at one point a 433 with me at LW and Barn as ST.

Fair enough, I still think we tend to play best when you're on ANY. If you want to play on the left of a front 3 I'll shift over to RF or CF. Jonno joined us eh?

One problem we faced last night was that the majority of our opponents had no-one on ANY, leaving us to face the super strong, super fast CPU defenders who would pull off impossible passes.

I'm still furious about my "miss" in the final minute with us 6-5 down from last night and don't want to talk about it.

CPU ANY is a cheat and a half. Crap at some things but will quite blatantly foul you and play on. I literally had my legs taken from under me last night, the ball didn't move and play continued.

My lag was completely random and in one game I didn't even know I had the ball half the time so was hoping for the best by pressing buttons in a vain attempt to keep moves going.

I also got thrown off the server twice - once in the middle of a game.

My problem with playing on ANY is that my guy is always out on left midfield, and generally is anonymous throughout the game. I think the team do better when he is up front, since he can head the ball on and hold up play. Otherwise we're quite lightweight in that department.

Plus I think we miss Original when he's not in the team, his pace, movement and finishing give us an extra dimension.

Jonno you seemed to do well on ANY from the half game I played.

I'm sorry about my performances last night, thought I was poor. My movement was good, made room for myself & did everything right but the finish, just wasn't happening for me. Normally I'd finish most of those chances off, so perhaps it was my fault we lost most of our matches. :\

I hope my Virtual Pro is in a better mood tonight, if/when we play.

Thought I did well that game (was it the match when Sweey missed that absolute sitter? :() when I played centre-back, those goals I couldn't really do anything about.

Jonno was very impressive, you wouldn't think it was only his debut last night. Well played.

When did I miss a sitter? :|

The 6-5 was far from a sitter as I was outside the area and the goalkeeper was still in front of me.

Jonno, one tip I'd give you is to pass quicker. Your VP was getting caught on the ball in midfield so when in doubt, drop someone else in the shit instead.

I think I played well as ANY over the weekend, so I don't mind doing it again. The problem I keep encountering in defence is that the CPU decides to make the defenders dart forward when the opposition are in possession.

I thought you did well at CB last night Bez too. Was impressed when you stayed alert and cleared the ball away before it got to the line after the opposition striker chipped the keeper.
