I concur with this, though I felt I was rather poor last night, so apologise for that. The defending was excellent, as you say particularly the covering and I don't mean just the centre backs, you and Carlo pulled out some great last ditch tackles, blocks and interceptions when the opposition did manage to best Red and Berry.

Good stuff.

I agree fully. The whole defence were excellent which made the job up front easier and it seemed as though everyone did well. Phats and Carlo were covering when it was necessary and as mentioned, Red and Berry were a good combination in central defence.

Well done on ANY for the last couple of games as well Berry.

Thanks guys, I too felt the centre-back partnership was very effective, both me and red doing the job nicely. And, yes, I think I can do a good job as ANY as long as there's little to no lag - when there's lag, and I'm ANY, then we're doomed.

I'm happy to go ANY occasionally, because I know it can get quite mindless going ANY all the time - rotation is good. :)

Managed to get a few new defending accomplishments last night too. :smug:

Well played everybody last night, I thought we were the best team in every game and not only that some of the goals where nothing short of excellent, especially the ones that started from the back and almost everybody got a touch before it was despatched past a desparing keeper.

Bez and I do partner well, both in defence (and midfield IMO), but as already said, the back four were tight last night, and all those in front played very well too. Not too sure about delboy ( I was concetraing on the left more) but I felt Phats got in some good supporting positions and didn't really get enough of the (easy) ball, not really a problem when we're forcing teams to quit at 10-0 though!

Yeah, I agree. I didn't enjoy it last night as much as I did thursday night when we had 10 people on, but it was still fun.

Noticed you've scored some pretty nice goals recently Don, and my word Fab was just immense up front in that last match we played!

Everyone gonna be on tonight, yeah?

I've also started regularly beating the left-back on the outside now. I absolutely loved one game last night where I terrorised the left-back from start to finish - I think it was the one where I came inside and passed the ball to you and from a standing position you scored a wonderful goal.

I tried it all on him in that game - beat him down the outside, cut inside him twice, ran right down the wing without using the sprint button, twisted him inside and then out to get to the by-line. No way was I going to let him tackle me after the moves I'd pulled on him in the first ten minutes.

I'll be around tonight, too ill to go out.

I'm getting annoyed with my mistiming of calling for the ball though - I occasionally pass the ball first time when I'm clean through on goal because it registered late/I called for it late.

I had my back to goal too, at that point I thought I messed it up, was delighted when it went in :w00t

Yeah, your player seems much quicker and better at pulling off the moves as you've mentioned. :thumbsup: I like how you've re-named your player Don Baggio too :smug:!

Well done again lads, I didn't enjoy last night as much as thursday either, I think it was because I was freezing my ass off though (didn't get any fuel for the wood burner), I thought delboy (is that Carlos?) was on fine form again and consistent all night, some great goals, the third goal in the penultimate was majestic!

I think we have a well balanced side, and now we are above 5000 again we need to push on to the next level!

I must add gin played well at "any" and was also good form again, got us playing from the back

Well done lads, I would say eveyone played well again last night.

That goal your talking about, is that the one where I was outside the box the ball bounced over me and I scored in the top corner with my right foot? Then like 5 minutes later Berry goes and scores some good but strange goal with his back to the goal.

To be fair, that team was shit.

I felt that I got caught on the ball a few times which I am not happy about but yeah you are right we have \ are gelling well! top ten teams in the world here we come!!!!!!!
