Team PESGaming (PS3) - Fifa 12 Clubs

Sweey

*RETIRED*
There's always space in Team PESGaming for the Don if you ever get the PS3 version. :naughty:

I thought we were gonna lose that last match as Red seemed unable to boot the ball which resulted in him playing it all the way back to the goalie from the kick-off after they scored. Thankfully we put more pressure on them in the second half and managed to get an equaliser.

Does it look as though you'll all be playing for months on end? If so I'll look to pick it up in the next week or so. My VP will be shite though.

cpu decided to square it straight to one of them, dont really like playing ANY and RAM I gave the ball away nearly every time I got it, never mind, we still unbeaten for 3

I thought you and barn linked up well tonight bammers, and Jonno did well on ANY, and we had some really good spells of passing

That could be possible as we've played almost every night so far since it came out. We tend to go on between 9-11:30pm rather than going on for 4-5 hours like we would in some of the previous games which I believe has helped clubs to stay fresh. We often get good numbers too of between 4 and 8.

Yes, plus it seems that Modern Warfare hasn't been too much of a distraction, this time.

Yes Sweey, I envisage I will be playing clubs for quite some time to come, especially as it is the only form of Fifa I actually enjoy in this iteration.

Last nights two wins with me as any can be viewed in three ways:

A) I'm shit attacking so swapping someone in made us play better in attack and thus less open to conceding
B) The opposition we played were relatively new (under 1000) so they weren't a challenge
C) I am a defensive god and I am the way forward.

I'm leaning towards B.

I must admit, I liked playing ANY when I still had the RAM position available, and thus my VP played there. Meant I could link up RB to RAM and get some good runs going down the side. If Phat wants, I can continue playing ANY until we get smashed, then i'm giving up and someone else can take the mantle.

Stipulations to this are:

i) No-one else plays as a defender when there are other outfield options available.
ii) If at all possible, RAM is left vacant when there are 5 or less other outfield players and we are playing 4231, any other form and I don't care, just leave me the defenders.

Playing defensive midfield was fine, I think it's important that whoever plays there actually plays defensive midfield. Generally we play with two defensive midfielders but too often we have both pushing forward leaving the back-line utterly exposed to counter attacks. If one or both stay back it leaves those playing further forward in far more space, offers a safer pass when there's nothing on going forward and helps us keep our shape and break up the opposition play.

The only thing I'd say is that sometime I was given the ball in the middle of the pitch and no-one showed for a pass. That said I thought having Eggy further up gave us a bit more height for long balls and crosses.

Jonno I think it's a bit of both b) and c), you were good at ANY and nicely composed on the ball. Having you or Phat controlling the defence makes such a big difference.

I started a new club the other night, I'll set up a game with you's when I get in enough bodies if you're on for it. Might do some kind of Ashes event between the 2 sides.

I always play defensive, unless of course the move requires that you move forward at which times the other dm should hold as egg and I agreed when we played together there.

In regards to the passing options, at one point I thought it was personal, I was in space next you 80% of the time, granted it was a lateral pass, it doesn't always have to go forward right? that said I though you had your best games at DM played solid there.

Don't take it personally red, he likes to think he's Lionel Messi at times, attempting to dribble through the whole team. It's great when he pulls it off but when he doesn't it's incredibly frustrating. Original? did play well in the DM position though from what I remember.

To be fair, you don't play that often and my comment regarding DMs piling forward was more a general one than just last night. When I play CAM I often find myself playing deeper than some of the people who are playing DM. I find it difficult to play CAM when the DMs push up too much because it crowds out any space within which to operate. I agree it's fine to join the attack when it's called for but this doesn't necessarily mean storming into the box, maybe once in a while but I think when we join the attack we still need to consider the teams shape.

No, there was nothing personal I didn't feel you were there 80% of the time and when you were available you were in space but again you wouldn't have a pass on and I'd be putting you under unfair pressure. I feel I played better deeper but the space I was afforded was the main driver, I didn't really have anyone playing on top of me.

Sometimes it just seems to open up... if it's any consolation, if you think you're frustrated, it's nothing compared to how annoyed I get when I lose the ball. One thing I'd note on this is when I'm dribbling slowly, it's not that I'm trying to beat everyone it's usually trying to wait for people to straighten their runs to play the ball.

Red, you're wasted at this club.
Call me -_-

lol...............is that legal :)

As for us:-

As in real life it is harsh to criticise when somebody is trying to do the right things, I find our team very tolerant, we all have good and bad days and it is a pleasure to be apart of it, my only general displeasure for the want of a better word is that we (collective) feel that every ball has to be a killer. when we get past that we will be a formidable side, we have some very good players amongst us
