^Well, if you remove the cards, BARCA will still feel like Barca. I am 100% positive about this one because PES always had the individuality.

i cant see why the premierleague, instead of auctioning off the exclusive rights to the names, can just set a fee for usage. Slightly smaller than the fee the EA are throwing at them. Then they would make even more money because both konami and EA would pay to have the rights.

why couldnt they do that?

thats rubbish. i have always hated that. just dont see why they dont share. Obviously EA dont want to let Konami have the rights to have 1 up on them but it frustrated the hell out of me.

Ano I'm sure Konami would share with Fifa ;) but as I said 10 teams each and pay half as much as a full league would be.

EA has the money, Konami doesnt simple. Unfortuatly for us.

EA have alot of sponsorship, everywhere I go I see Fifa 2010 advertised, it gets on my nerves so much.

the premier league is not a big deal really. especially for anybody who frequents these forums. the only disadvantage it brings is that you have to hold of starting a ML or something until one of the many awesome option files are released. there always damn good OF that are more than sufficient. not having the bundesliga is the biggest upset, adding an entire league will be a lot harder than editing some kits, and then it still cant be used in the ML unless its over another league and not just league B which is stupid! (well thats if it continues to be like that in PES10 as it was in PES09)

Maybe if you play as Barca, but this year's game cheated so much in Master League that you were playing scripts, not the individual style of the opponent.

Yeah, I'm all for that, but why add it in as a feature, when it should be hard-coded into the freaking game anyway. It is after all supposed to be a simulation, so without the cards on, are we to expect Barca to play generically like all the other teams will without using cards?

That's not very good at all.

How can you complain about having options?

:shocking:

Being able to turn off or on one player's runs won't change the way the whole team plays anyway. Sorry, I'm just really not seeing your point here at all.

360 dribbling

Those of you experienced with FIFA 09, are fully aware that the players could only move in 8 directions. This actually restricted movement to Up, Down, Left, Right and the Diagonals in between, and for those who noticed it, it made for a somewhat frustrating and unrealistic experience. With 360 Dribbling you now have the freedom to move using all 360 angles, which gives you the freedom to move anywhere you want. This is the first time this is being offered in any football game and means that you will have a much smoother and fluid experience. With the right amount of practice you will be able to dribbling around players like never before. Dribbling is not the only benefit you will get from 360 Dribbling, it now makes passing much more realistic and controllable. Basically you will find yourself making passes not possible before simply because you can now point to anyone on the pitch.

360 Defensive Movement

Like 360 Dribbling, the 360 Defensive Movement allows all off the ball players the freedom to move and defend using 360 awareness. This makes for more accurate slide tackles (being able to pick the exact angle of the challenges), more shoulder to shoulder defending (subtle movements allow you to press against shoulders more easily), and ability to chase and close down opponents.

Whatever people say pes needs this plus a switch to full analog control the d-pads got to go.

ALTHOUGH ea are full of shit as konamis perfect striker 3 on the ps2 had all this back in 2001 and even earlier in perfect striker2 1999 on the n64.

If you have to set-up teams to require cards to make them play like their real life counterpart, then on default they won't be a realistic representation of the real team, that's my point. We have to do so much legwork in editing the game for authenticity, we shouldn't have to give the AI a helping hand, ffs.

Especially as we've been lumbered with the cheating Teamvision for two years, so I see it as a cheek we're expected to spend more time editing a team to react like they would do in real life.

Yeh I'm not sure about his card system, it seems dodgy to me! But I think that if you turn off the cards for a team such as Barca they should still play like Barca or the game would be totally rubbish.

It would mean that the game relies on a card system when certain play should be harcoded into the system!

i hope this new card and tactic system doesn't mean people are gona pause the game every 2 seconds to turn the cards on and off. cus the hole flow of the game would be wrecked

Ofcourse they will. The cards and sliders (well sliders are necessary for barca to play like real barca) enhance that though.

This is one of the issues with the sliders as well, they seem to be a menu only option, so every change you make has to be within the menu, which means constantly pausing. It depends on how often you need to make adjustments to the sliders. In fifa I use them to create the overall style of the team and how it should play, for me, I dont change this during the game, i simply use the in game option to make the team more attacking, more defensive etc, so i dont find myself pissing about in the menu mid game. Maybe it will work that way for pes 2010 also.

I think the cards will be a great addition, because I am sick of playing with a big physical side (Bolton, Stoke) and they are playing brilliant football, its just not like that in real life. So it would be good to mix long balls for physical teams and short passing for sexy football teams.

Its just wee intoductions of those things that will make it feel more like you are playing with a team and not playing with another team, if you get what I mean.

Eg. Its no use being Bolton and playing football like Barcelona, its just not right.

^Yeah and the sliders can make that a reality. If they work ofcourse. ;)
I think that the sliders and cards are a great addition. They will add much more longitiviety.

Yup me too, I think the cards will be a great addition, but I also think the Fifa tactics things dont work, all that greatly. I dont usually use tactics but this will get me more intrested in using them.

The cards will be awesome dont shoot them down just yet until everybody has used them.

I can't imagine why you would have to edit anything. Alves would obviously have his overlapping run card turned on, for example, out of the box. I don't even know if we would have the option of changing cards for other teams other than the one we're controlling, but we might.

Also, I think (just a hunch) these options (on/off) might be controllable in BAL, so that you have some control over your teammates AI in that mode.

I think the card system is great, it'll make teams more unique, i'm loving the sliders. I should be able to get the exact style of play i want.
