This does seems to be a great game have only played 3 games so far but like it alot faster and more powerful crosses nicer passing and more of the ball control which is wery nice ............ also the goalkeeper have some nice new animations just hope that it will not take to long to geta working patch for the dresses and new chants .................and another thing ..... you can load up the names from your winning eleven 7 optionfile so you get real playernames otherwise all the names are in japanese maybe you can change it somewere havent looked that closely yet
everything is improved its like all konami updates you cant really say what they have done but they did it so much better ;O)) a great improvement on an already damn good game

Yes Eksol, all player names are in Japanese, no matter which language you choose, but like donthomasso said you can load your WE7 option file into WE7:I, then you´ll have most of the names in English, of course only if you use an WE7 option file with English names in it ;), a few still remain in Japanese though, dunno why, but it´s only about 10 % you have to correct manually.
Stadium name change option is in, also you can now not only assign the players weak foot accuracy but also the frequency how often he uses his weak foot.

Ok, DON"T buy WE7i USA version..
quote from evo-web forum a guy named checkmate10 posted:

I have it. USA version just picked it up from Gamestop. It is a PES3 clone. Man, im dissapointed after all the talk of it maybe being the same as the jap version. No lunar boots, no manias at all, there are the predator pulse and f-50's but only in black. No gameplay changes, and no ability to buy new balls in the WE shop. Keeper cannot drop the ball, crosses are the same, shooting is the same, i have not seen any new animations, and the only languages are english and spanish. Same speed as PES3, dribbling is the same, short passes are not faster, and it feels exactly like PES3. The only good thing is it is 100% smooth, absolutely no stutter. There are some new adidas add boards and stuff but definatley no gameplay changes. Hope this helps i cant think of anything else to answer. If i find anything else ill post it but by then someone else will have probably done so already. I'm heading over to playasia to order my jap version. If you own PES3 dont get the USA version, otherwise youll be like me with two PES3's.

Guys can you have english menus but in audio jap commentary?
Can you edit the goalkeepers and stadiums?
Do we have transfer option from the beginning or we must unlock it?

Yes I did bro..I e-mailed play-asia.com and they told me everything.. my question was based mostly on if we7:i (usa) was identical to we7:i (japan)

Commentary language is separate from menu language. You can edit stadium names, not sure about GKs, Konami said it would be possible but I haven´t checked yet.

Kabira is class :D
If there are no f50´s then it´s probably the normal WE7, not international version.
No more licenses, only one new stadium, Tardini from Parma.

Can you tell me how this compares to pes3? I know you all say it's better but how? I've had pes3 since it came out but I'm bored of it now to be honest but I've never played any we games before so i dunno what stuff is the same and what's different.

Is the edit mode and ml mode etc basically the same as pes3?

Read the impressions from me, ClassicD, danny or rip-soldier and you can compare, ML mode and editing are mostly the same. There are a few new options in edit mode, eg you can edit stadium names and you can edit how often a player shoots with his weak foot. Generally I can say following things are improved:
- Passes are faster
- Player seem to be a little bit slower, especially with ball, what makes dribbling very hard
- Shots are harder
- Better reaction of players, means players need less time to let a shot off
- Advantage rule very accurate and realistic
- Refs better overall, but still sometimes freekicks given for clear tackles
- Less handballs
- Harder and better crosses, the same with headers
- Plays smoother overall, AI is improved definite, in both offense and defense
- A few new animations for passes and shots, not very conspicious though

Larsson, do you think faster passes are somewhat realistic ?? Don`t you think that in PES3 they were too fast..?? I like WE7 passing system..

how hard is the dribbling now? what's the different from original JP WE7 on dribbling? so basicly even Owen's dribble looks really slow now?
