fact is most people wont play it long enough before bitching about it,giving it enough time would mean he would slowly start to adjust to top player,but hes given it what 4days?then complained.

i think top player is all about knowing the little tricks like super cancel.its rare i lose a header on professional when i position myself using this and it is viatl to maintaining possesion and creating more chances,alot of people dont know or dont use these and it makes the game tougher,perhaps giving a stronger illusion of AI favouritism

Wellzy, Rob, John and a few others - you are all missing the point that i was trying to make. I nearly didn't have to write this post thanks to yajeel's response but what the hell - i'm at work and can kill some time with this...

Like i said before I DON'T MIND LOSING! It's when i get cheated out of a match that it sucks. Wellzy mate i could practice all i want and could still not make my passes go where i directed them to, it's not in my control - saying i should step down the difficulty or that i am "too shit" to play top player is bullshit itself. And it certainly has nothing to do with "adaptive AI" it's plain and simple - if the COM wants you to lose a match - YOU WILL LOSE.

It all comes down to dodgy code and the developers not being arsed to tweak it or take it to the next level. Luckily this isn't really a problem when you play against a mate as i said before, but i love the single player options (Master, League, Cups etc) and when they are severely dented by this cheating it's pretty dissapointing...

I could quote my previous posts and yajeel's to drive home the point, but it should be pretty obvious to everyone by now what i am trying to state here. I am sick of being cheated out of HOW I AM PLAYING not the three points...

wow i cant believe what i am hearing, i was thinking it was easy considering how l;ong ive had the game for. i can win most games now but i always concede and loose the odd match, plus i can keep the ball in fact i can only score if i keep it. the only problem i have on top player is taking the ball of the comp when they are dribbling without fouling them, its like a magnet to thier feet but once i get it i always look like scoring.

Ade, I'm not saying it's particularly hard. I've won all my master league games so far apart from the one I explained, but it's not been amazing fun doing it, as your players act like morons for the most part. I've been playing for years and use supercancel all the time but it doesn't help me win headers (maybe I should keep practising in that aspect if people really believe it helps) I agree with you about trying to tackle too, your player seems to run in a different direction to where the ball is and every time you tackle your player does some big stamp tackle that is always too slow or in the wrong direction often either giving away a foul or completely missing the ball and the player! In fact, your players sometimes do this of their own accord even if you don't press tackle...very suspect!!

This is the only game I religiously play every year, nothing holds my attention long enough before I put it back on, but I reckon I might see what other games have got to offer this year!

I'm the opposite.

I am winning every game (bar the odd 1 in 15) on Top Player by 4-1, 5-1 etc etc. Very very easy. Hasn't taken any time to master at all.

I wouldn't consider myself a brilliant PES player but after this my ego has exploded !

has anyone tried the world tour, i am currently playing that with 'top player' and i have clocked the missions for asia, south america, africa and now i am on europe, not trying to boast but i am currently doing really well against the top level!

I tried top player and it's actually not that hard. The pace is a lot quicker, but that seems to mean a more open game. I know it's not much of a boast, but I beat Brazil 4-1 with Argentina, and Brazil's goal was a total fluke.

I'll try this World Tour out, but I've been playing the ML most of the time. Regular level with the default players is difficult. The players are incredibly shit and unfit.

I think top player is a good challenge, when ya on ya game ya can thrash anyone when ya a bit off ya can draw or lose, i think its more realistic then being on a lower level and thrashing teams =)
I suggest trying the World Tour on Top Player =) i am on level 19 score with 4 shots in extra time =)

I started a ML with Derby and played two games. The first was Everton away who I beat 3-2. The second was Bolton at home and I got beat 7-0! :laugh: I obviously turned off in disgust, but I think it'd be a good challenge once I get to grips with the game.

This game is easy!!!! Top player is too. My last game on professinal I beat chelsea 7-0 with man u. You're all just crap.
