THE DLC DOES NOT CHANGE GAMEPLAY FACT!

I know there are lots of skeptics out there. Tbh I was a skeptic with v1.03 when many were raving about the improvements and I just didn't notice anything different. This time though I'll be the 1st to say that I have no doubt in my mind that things have improved. After I got the update I started a new league season and honestly the difference, mainly the dribbling, just smacked me in the face. I didn't go out looking for anything different and just played like I normally do. At first I didn't notice anything too different except that dribbling felt weird. I was using the d-pad. Then I just decided to give the analog stick a go and discovered why it was so weird with the d-pad. It was because the game feels more geared towards the analog stick now.
A few hours before the update I was playing the game as well so I felt this made it easier for comparison as the gameplay of old was still fresh in my mind. But just to make things fair I went ahead and deleted everything Pes related on a different PS3 account and loaded the game up. I didn't install any updates at all and just played the game and could tell the difference. Dribbling with the stick was unforgiving, unresponsive, clumsy, and not smooth. Using slow and weak but good dribblers like Giggs to dribble basically meant I was giving the ball away.
I then proceeded to install v1.03 and played the game but there was no noticeable improvements for me. Then I went to grab the DLC and played the game and the improvements are back. Dribbling with Giggs was a joy again, even though his stats did not change at all. I was literally dribbling with him for a couple real time minutes. Going into traffic, playing keep away, squeezing past 2 players, you name it I attempted it. I set all my players on green arrows btw to make sure it wasn't down to a stat boost.
So it got me thinking. At this point I still have no edit file on that account, only a system settings file. I noticed that the DLC installed a 21mb file into my PS3 game data folder. My edit file on my other account is only 5mb. Surely a few player appearances and a handful of boots and balls shouldn't account for the other 16mb right? There must be room in there for code, tweaks, w/e. Konami's recent screw up of a few players such as Simao and Villa makes me believe this even more. Looks like they were adding unique free kick motions for those players but somehow fucked it up causing the game to freeze whenever those players attempted a free kick.
So lets all look into this with an open mind and keep it clean. There's no need for anyone to get all anal on this matter. Definitely don't play with the d-pad but use the analog stick. Also a warning for those who wants to delete data like I did. Be careful otherwise you'll fuck up your option file, which I learned the hard way . I forgot to update the game again on the old account, then switched to my new account and updated but it failed to load my option file. The idiot that I am decided to overwrite the file with the new one from DLC so all my kits and team names were gone. Fortunately I have an old backup lying around but it only has the EPL done. I guess it won't take too long to finish the 8 La Liga teams but lesson learned lol.
So here's all the "improvements" I see. I find it hard to believe that I failed to notice any of these things after 500+ games before the DLC. And no I didn't recently pick up a crack addiction
-Dribbling is more precise, smooth, and responsive. I can definitely feel and see the extra angles and they react much quicker to your commands. Some players also keep the ball really close to their feet making it harder to steal without fouling. The transitions seem smooth as well.
-More animations maybe?
-Players both under your control and CPU team responds much quicker to loose balls.
-Players frequently stick their legs out to reach loose balls.
-If your player loses possession, they'll actually fight right back to try to regain it. A lot of times they will win it back straight away because the ball is less magnetic and more in open space, up for grabs even though the opposition is right by the ball.
-Refs show no clear cut signs of improvement thus far. Many fouls still go unnoticed.
Sorry for the long post  and I hope I'm not all alone on this.

winning eleven 10 > pes 10 ...
its 1000 times better..
order up
Ignorance is bliss!! It is the same game, except for the Superstar difficulty... everything else is 100% the same.
Only reason it's 1000 times better would be that you can sit in the sofa in your living room and play on the widescreen, wich you actually could with PES2010 if you're stupid enough to play the game on console.
PS. I am quite sure the patches affects game engine somewhat, easily noticeable when you make a new BAL game. Nothing revolutionary, but nice all the same with small tweaks making team mates and opponents do less of those annoying mistakes.
The DLC does not affect the game engine at all, and they are completely useless and waste of valuable DEV time if you ask me.
No sir. WE is actually quite different. The pace of the game is slower, the ball feels a bit heavier, the animations are just little bit smoother. Nothing major. Kinda of like Gears 1 & 2. Nothing revolutionary. Just fixed some things that were poo poo.
that's utter bullcrap, the animations are exactly the same, the ball physics is just the same and the game speed can be altered on the PC version.
no noteworthy difference in other words.
But if you insist on fooling yourself, go ahead...
You've obviously never played it. "But if you insist on fooling yourself, go ahead..."
I've got WE 2010. I've also got PES 2010.
It's the same bloody game.
What next?! WE 2010 is better if you play with the fat PS3 instead of the slim PS3?
Goddamnit, some people really need to be slapped in the face real ****ing hard!
