I doubt that the game would allow that. And they retire so I don't think that anyone would have the amount of time in their career to do that. You know?

I heard that the game resets the stats of players when you start is that true? Can you turn it off?

the young players don't better as fast as you think, they each have their own individual "learning curve" so eventually they'll hit the plateau and won't get better anymore, in fact, the curve begins to slope down in the late 30's so players can actually get WORSE

Coolcraigd, you've not told us anything I didn't already know, and I don't even have the game yet...

Also, I was under the impression that all player stats got reset to default for ML. If so, then why would you ask if the option file had stats "updated" from CM, how would that affect you at all if you're playing the ML?

Sorry to say this, but I am doubting you have actually finished two ML seasons as you say you have. Do you at least own the game???

I have the game sitting in front of me, and unless you can understand Kanji (Japanese text ) to perfection, You would need a whole weekend to just work out what the hell all the settings do. Fair play if you have completed two years, but there would be so much that you are missing!

They have gone all out this time lads and lasses, its fine polished all over. You can realy see and feel the difference in speed and power, and the skill of a player. like any pro footballer all the players can spin and fine control the ball. but it's not untill you use a more skilled play that you start to get a feel for the detail to each and every player.

OH and no hand balls, well i have seen one....and it was hand ball....the advantage rule works great this time.alaowing you to lose the ball and recieve a freekick...and if you are a player that uses spot kick situations, you will score a lot in the new game...the sysytem to allow to players to stand over a ball and strike it, works realy well.

I cant wait to get it all in Engish to take advantage of the ML..not long to go

@lfc4eva, i dont really understand why i needed a big impression anyway, thats why i give an acurate BUT small impression. remember THIS TOPIC IS about the ML it's self not the actual match's as this i think HAS ALREADY BEEN covered.

@sam_k i had a lil help from translation screens post at this site, just to give me the basics and i pick-d up everything else bear in mind i cant actually read it but i just try to memorise it.

but seeing as you guys want a lil more info im gonna build on what sam_K said,

players: yeah theres ALOT more response and intellegence, i have cisse in my squad and i must say this guy is AWESOME-LY REAL the speed and strength and stanima seem ALOT better this time round, it just seems if you running after a defender for a free ball you could ALMOST nearly everytime overtake them, so the values of stats seem to matter now. theres ALOT more leeway regarding tackles which i absolutly LOVE.

in total for those of you who believe i have the game thank you to those who dont well i cant force you to. i do have an invoice ect to show i have this game, so get in touch via msn if you want proof :)

i havent done that move and im not sure if it's in, but i HAVE seen the lebona but have not yet masterd it, although i have done the simple stuff e.g drop shoulders ect

Hi, fellow WE fans...

I haven't posted on this forum b4, but it's abt time I get started...I've more or less finished two seasons of the master league, taking Roma, with the default 'weaker' players...when I got the game I immed. started wif the ML on 5 star...took me 10 games b4 i got my first win... *phew*

Subsequently it gets easier in as you get used to the player's movements and tendencies...But so far its still tough! Gotta really concentrate, the goals don't come so easy anymore... But one thing tt I've gotta stress (which maybe most pple know anywae), is that u should use :R1: sparingly, when u're running into open space, or to turn away from opponents...don't ever hold it down! The off-the-ball shoving type-of-thing is improved, so if the ball's off ur feet, the opp. can steal it off ya real easy...

Another change I've noticed since WE7 is tt the :triangle: (through pass) seems better...it's able to get past the defenders more, but of coz u urself have to do the :R1: + :R2: thingy, to break ur stride and get to the ball earlier...

Lastly (for now), the simple :x: (pass) is more difficult to control... you have to really aim for the player... and one sure way of doing well against the com is to pass real fast...One-touch play from defence to attack and then try a through pass or so... When the passes come together, its beautiful!

All for now... Anywae I've played WE since WE3... Must admit this is the most realistic yet! Wonderful...

I have no idea what you're talking about with the whole CM4 thing...you're not really making sense. I recommend using complete sentences and decent grammar.

And you're the "idot", I already explained that you didn't tell us anything I didn't already know. All the stuff you know could be learned by someone who doesn't even own the game.

P.S. I just got the game yesterday.

listen i asked zyg the question about the stats because he was telling me there was an option file for WE8, which was converted from we7:I, and that it was the evo-web file, which on that file ALL the players are updated using the CM4 database conveter. Which is why i was asking about the updated stats. that question had NOTHING to do with ML. I just wanted the file for the players names to be in english. and for your information i didnt even read any info about the game. so if you still disbelieve me about owning the game catch me on msn and i will show you the screen shot of my invoice.

p.s and as for grammer, i wrote it like that because i was just typing fast and couldnt be botherd to be perfect.

I have how come to the end of my second season, and may I once again say how great this game is. As with most games and certainly the Pro evo series, I continue to find little touches that make the game feel like a real football experience! From players getting injuries and returning to the pitch after treatment, to the cut scenes that occur when you slot a goal away, only to find the linesman disallow it. The 'scouting' system in the new game is great fun. not only do you have to keep your eye out for talent that plays against you (i played against a player that moved like Figo, i cant find him Doh) but getting a mix of young talent and experience is vital if you are to save money in the transfer market and allow your players to gain experience themselves, improving there stats after each game, if there involved.
A nice new feature allows you to set your budget to what you like, all for 10000 WEN points.
The 6 Star difficulty setting is great for people that play on 5 all the time and find that you can only get a good game from a human. It is much faster, but i don't mean fifa Fast, the play is more direct, but with purpose. like a human, taking chances when they come and stringing together pass combinations. The square tackle how allows you to press it once, and that player will follow the ball until it is away from his sector of the pitch, allowing you to hold to make a hard tackle.
Editing is much easier, and transferring takes second how!
There is so much new stuff in this game it feels a shame to spoil it, i think we worked it out that there are now 5 types of shot!

My observations - if you edit the teams and do your transfers DO IT BEFORE you start your ML!!! Otherwise it will not change during your ML. I.e. move Djibril Cisse to Liverpool, and in your ML he will be there.

Obviously, this doesn't help when you just play a quick game or tourney with Liverpool as they just drop back to the game's default lineup.

Anyway, just a reminder so you don't get frustrated later!! Maybe we should do all transfers and wait until the end of this month (transfer deadline) to start our ML!! LOL :)

when you use r3 on a free kick a player will "lay it off for you"

first when you get a fk:

press select to have a second player over the ball then press r3 and the player will lay it off

but there is no R3 button on PS2 controller. anyone know how to save a game in master league, gone through all the options, cant find one to save
