What I love most about Pro Evo 5

Dr. Bob Kelso

Welcome back...
is how the players actually do play like they are that player.

Even when you go a player who is technically poorer than some of the other players on the game they as in real life have attirubutes other than their technical ability which allows them to still compete. They work harder or they are stronger for example.

I think it gets far too much stick as a game in general. Yes there are things about it that could be improved but overall it is a damn good game. Another thing I don't understand is how people say they preferred the other one. The other one reminded me a lot more of Fifa and it was too "arcadie". It didn't have the same feel to it or realism with the players. You could run from your own half and just bury it in the top bin as if it were something that was the done thing. Games could end up 7-7 or something stupid like that.

It may be slower it may be more deliberate but those are the characteristics which make it much more of a thinking mans game. You have to pass your way through your opponent or time your crosses.

None of the above applies when playing online though as there are too many cheats about.

Long live Pro Evo !

Its true...

When the computer is controlling C.Ronaldo, hes always running at you and trying to take you on etc.

Beckham never tries to take you on doing alot of aerial balls

Pro 5 is the king of all them all

The thing is, Pro Evo is so good that the bad points really do stick out a mile. It is simply an amazing game sometimes but also so frustrating at the same time. It does its job too well sometimes.

I was playing it yesterday for a solid 3 hours and have not enjoyed it so much for ages. It is a fantastic game and the best of the series so far.

The game have many problems, but hey, there is no perfect game...
I want to say that the fact we STILL PLAY THE GAME is enough.1-2 hours a day and I am not pissed off with it.I really want better keepers, licenses, better sound and improved graphics, but this will come with time anyway,so people enjoy it.
PES5 is the best one and here is why:
1-PES4 is way too fast, way too easy and has many AI flaws,I play only online(rare).
2-PES3 was running with 20 fps on my PC(it needs sound card supporting DX 8.1 and I dont have one),so I never fully enjoyed it.
Also I think KONAMI are toying with us.I mean one year release a game for the football fans(the real football, slow and hard)-PES3,PES5 and one year fast, arcade game for the masses of adrenaline needing lamers-PES4 and probably PES6,but we will see...

Loved it the moment I 1st touched it. Haven't tried the new one but gameplay doesn't get much more realistic than this. Agree with the players acting just like their counterparts. I think it's a hidden attribute cuz no one makes touches like C.Ronaldo just like he does in r/l. Eto'o and Henry prance around like they do in r/l. Rooney with the way he uses his upper body strength, Ronaldinho's no look passing....it's just great.

Gameplay doesn't need to be changed but just somehow make the AI harder n smarter. Also need much more bookings, so many fouls that would be yellows go with just a warning.

License is the biggest issue. I can imagine a huge ML, with full 1st and 2nd divisions, and full UEFA competitions, all officially sponsored. More Leagues in ML, maybe with the option to participate in International tournaments. So instead of picking just a club, u can pick a club as well as a country and every 2 years u can participate in Euro or World Cup. U can choose your squad which could be really fun as u have to be aware of who's doing good or bad. Also better loaning options, and being able to upgrade consistency, condition, and special abilities at a very slow rate in ML. Guess this will never happen tho as Konami can milk more money releasing small upgrades every year instead of releasing a complete game :(

Yeah, the players are just like r/l as you say, especially C Ronaldo and Henry.
