Im a PES fan and that comment might come back to bite ya. PES is an improved version of 2008 and every other series. I personally love PES 2009 so far but it is just a tweaked version of 2008 (with improved graphics)

actaully Pes 08 was already a next gen version and its natural that they will keep upgrading from 08 , whats the big deal in it ? its not like fifa 09 where everyone saying it was a upgrade from 08 only but mind it fifa 08 was old gen ( not even current gen ) and they upgraded into fifa 09 which is curent gen.

the only thing i didn't like this time is the goal keepers hope they will fix it until it's going to be released

For me it's the funny way the ball jots forward like 2 feet ahead of the player when you sprint. seems a bit unrealistic to me. and the licenses.

The worst thing is how the refs give out cards. Once i slid across a players run, it took him about 1.5 seconds to run into ME and i got a red card. wtf wtf wtf wtf. He ran into me! He could of gone round me ffs but he ran into me, stayed on his feet and i got a red! Also countless countless yellows for absolute nothing.
I suppose with the new controls it will be like having to learn how to play the game from scratch, maybe this is why people complain about the gameplay.
Easy solution then. Just don't play the demo or buy the game when it comes out in two weeks.
I think the new controls are the "worst" part. Also the gameplay slowed, which makes it realistic, but i did enjoy the fast paced game.
The controls are not "bad", just i kept doing my right analogue for tour de marse, and stupid thing kept passing =D. Looked it up, seems left analogue pretty much takes care of that, however, the right analogue is much more convenient to do manual passes. I never done that much in PES 08, because holding down the analogue was way too much effort.
I drew 1-1 my first two games on top player, which I was shocked at. I suppose it seems harder due to controls. Very excited about the "Become a Legend mode", always thought Fifa was ahead in features, good to see Pro making it also.

Every time your caught diving the card comes out this rarely happens in real football shouldn't happen in pes ref should just gesture for the player to get up and have the play carry on

Its only the demo mate so you can't really say anything much, fair enough you chose FIFA this year but honestly when the full PES game comes out we'll see.

I just don't get people, they judge something even the full thing hasn't even come out, playing the demo won't give you the full potential

Based on the demo and playing countless matches, I think PES 2009 is pretty shit.
I don't like the horrendously slow gameplay, I don't like the dribbling (the players kick the ball 5 yards ahead of them when running), I don't like the first touch system (most players have the touch of a rapist), I don't like the awful shooting system and I don't like the cheating AI. The only good thing is the graphics.
The controls feel clunky and unresponsive. The PS2 version of PES was a responsive game and had great controls. This game feels very, very sluggish (just like FIFA 09)
Overall, it is just as bad as the FIFA 09 demo. My mood has changed about this game and I just think it's terrible.
They should simply port PES6 to the PS3 with updated graphics and I'll be happy.
