- Every computer team plays EXACTLY the same way. Even crappy 2nd division teams play like Barca. Goalies and CBs fake around you. THey NEVER lose the ball or go for an ambitious pass, you have to run at them like dogs every single time. there is ZERO variation

No fun, impossible AI that gives you NO FORWARD RUNS and no through ball options, always lose 50-50s esp. aerial, nerfed crossing (esp. compared to 2008... what is with the LAME low crosses).

PES has been getting worse since PES6 and this is the last straw for me unless PES2010 turns out to be the greatest video game ever. God just thinking about it makes me angry...

I agree with much of it but what MOSTLY pisses me off here is the every computer plays the same , I mean SERIOUSLY , you play some really crap french team and it can play better than arsenal , it is completely ridicilous ..

exactly. The manual controls in fifa make you feel like you are actually kicking a ball. Both game have a problem with scripting though. Fifa 09 is what i imagined pes would be years ago when it went next gen. If you play fifa with manual controls on legendary it is by far the most challenging football game ever made. Will those idiots stop saying fifa is easy when they obviously dont play the game this way, you're just saying it to prove a point and its pathetic

S-D-P: I just wrote about that in other forum.. I agree with you that FIFA on legendary is just about milion times more difficult, than PES on most difficult level.. But, what actualy happend when i play FIFA on this level? Most of the matches finished by Draw 0:0.. But, if i would like to play on this level, than it have to be 20 mins one half, and that is too much.. Also I dont know how about you, but for me, there aren´t spectacular goals in fifa like in PES.. I like FIFA works in midlefield, but in front of goal there is only one king.. Big question is that what is actualy simulation.. Something what you have to play for about same time as the real footy, without any spectacular shots.. Crosses, which are twice as high an two times slower, then they are kicking in real? Or pure enjoyment of PES, where every shoot looks great and all that staff in front of goal feels and looks great.. Atmosphere of the match and so.. When i play fifa, it feels cold, no-one is excited, non of them making mistakes.. PES have heart, which is beating and reacting on the situations.. FIFA is robot, which tries to look great, but there is no heart.. I was playing fifa for long time, but never felt that sort of excitement.. Especialy when you make little tournament with few friends. I feel that when we play world cup, it feels like it too.. When we played Fifa, it was just a game.. You haven´t seen story of that tournament, but in PES, there is that staff.. That is simulation for me, not some super animations, but when it is about shooting, player looks like wood, and than shoots, ball is flying 300 mph. Then net is just move like it wasn´t even shoot.. After that, you put some stupid kombo in, to make celebration.. Than you waiting for replay, and see all that disaster.. You wanna make a substitution and have to go truth slow menu and after that there is for some reason stupid view of stadium for five secs, then player running for substitution of the other player and not looking even tired or anything.. After faul, all players are teleporting over the whole pitch (Probably, they can run in speed of light).. And i am not talking about faces in FIFA, colours, framerate issues and all theese basic things.. But still, I don´t want to say that Fifa is so bad.. I feel that both games should take something from each other..

i am starting to score better goals although i was and i am still having a problem with breaking teams down(this is a good thing) , for me the feeling of scoring a good goal on fifa is so rewarding as is the gameplay. I agree the game as flaws but the fundamental gameplay is so strong but the fuck you over scripting has to go and is infuriating when you are not allowed to challenge for balls and the computer wins every 50-50. I think the nest are strangely one of my most favorite things in a football game, so realistic compared to pes's strange virtua striker nets. You can skip celebrations although i do agree with you on this. I just dont think pes has anything over fifa that is noticeable or strong enough to make you play it over EA's game.

Just the awful shooting in fifa is enough reason for me. pes09 shooting and goal scoring is much better.

I dont play it that much. I still play pes2008 but its to much cheat there online.

I hope Konami will come with a better game,and why do we have to wait 1 year for that? Bring it on with a better soccer game?
Ihate 2009,shittttyyyy game.Stiff players,all off my friends hate that game, we play pes 08 together.

its easier but not better and the goals are not rewarding, once you get used to manual shooting on fifa it is in a different league.

scoring in Fifa is quality. Ok you may not be able to score spectacular goals easily but oh well. What is good is when i score online with Liverpool i feel like ive earnt it and its been built up and really feels well worked. In pess its painfully tedius. You cant realisticly knock the ball about waiting for opening as you players make as much movement as a dead elephant and the 8 way movement makes me fell like im playing a fuking mobile game. Every long ranger looks the same, doesnt feel special, gets fuk all recognition from the commentators and is unimportant because your 10-0 up anyway!

In Fifa the scorlines are usually pretty low and on the harder difficulties its pretty hard to keep a clean sheet so scoring a decent goal usually sends me into a frezy whereas in Pes im so bored of kocking in piss easily created goals that a monkey could do i couldnt give a rats arse if i took a shot from anfield and it flew into a basketball hoop in fuking madison square garden.

Do you play on manual as the variety of play you can do is astounding but hard to pull and rightly so. You cant score spectacular goals easily on fifa with manual(this is good thing)

the computer doesn't decide where you're shots and passes go, therefore it takes more skill which makes it a better game and a more realisitc football sim. Whats the point in just having to press square and the ball flies perfectly towards goal. I don't mind people playing on assisted but its nowhere near as good unless you are shit at football games and need the game to do everything for you

basically you can kick the ball in any way you want and there are more variations of what you can do with the ball. Its is harder and takes alot of practice but you really feel the ball is separate from everything else. Go on arena and try it, although it easier to score in arena you will see how much ephasis is forced on you to choose your body stance. You also have to think about where the ball is in relation to your body and how fast the ball is going. it feels eerily like kicking a football, try it but give it some time, at first it is frustrating.
